Westin Ultimate Bull Bar or Safari Bar - please help!

I want to put one of these on my silver 2004 Limited. I've done the searches, looked at the photos, but still can't decide. I know that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but...

One of my concerns is loss of clearance under the vehicle with either of these. Can someone give me specifics? How about loss of approach angle - how big of an issue when 4-wheeling?

I know that these bars are not really "structural." Instead, they are mostly for looks and helping avoid parking lot rash. The Steelcraft unit seems to be an interesting alternative and perhaps more sturdy. Can anyone advise me how much clearance (if any) is lost with it?

Good question. I've been wondering the same thing about loss of clearance for offroading. I have 2004 SR5 with 17" wheels and 2.5"/1.5" lift on front/back.

I'm primarily interested in the bull bar for additional driving lights when I'm in the forest and during snowstorms. Is there a better way to achieve that?

I got the Steelcraft..you can check these threads with pics of the steelcraft to give you an idea of the clearance. My runner does not have any lift yet. but will be getting a daystar 2.5/1.5 soon

you should look at at the defiant light bar or similiar.

I've got the Dakar Rampage Light Bar and love it. It's not structural due to it's mounting points- but it looks pretty mean from the front with 4 lights mounted

Last night, I ended up ordering the black Westin Bull Bar, which has a chrome skid plate, from AutoAnything. They have a 10% off coupon and free shipping, so that ended up being lowest price:

I know the stainless steel will last longer, but my nerf bars are black and the front grille frame is chrome, so this black bar will be a good match. Lotsa critters run out in front of me when I go to remote Texas areas for astronomy, so I'm hoping this will protect the front-end.

I'll add lights later after the wife cools off from the expense of this purchase.
