Wet Carpet Passenger Side Front when it rains

So for the past month or so I've noticed that the carpet on the passenger side front - only where the passenger feet would go - gets very very wet - soaked, in fact - when it rains. There is no obvious leak, the water is ONLY on that part of the carpet, and the carpet further up in the footwell in front of it is dry. I've heard this might be caused by the sunroof drain system? Can anyone verify this or suggest steps to troubleshoot and repair? Thanks in advance!!!!

For me it was the lower windshield trim. Check the section on the passenger side closely.

But would that cause only the part of the rug near the seat - not towards the front - to be wet??? I'll take a look when it stops raining...
