Wet carpet - plugged AC drain?

I am in the process of replacing my carpeting and found that under the drivers side footwell area the carpet was soaked. I don't think it's a leaking sunroof as my headliner shows no signs of being wet.

Is it common for the AC drain to get plugged? I'm going to crawl under today and see if it's plugged and maybe blow some compressed air up there.

I wouldn't say Common yet it happens like it happens to other autos.

I would try fishing a medium thickness weed trimmer string or other flexible yet somewhat firm thin up the hose on the right side of the engine firewall (from inside engine bay). Compressed air may blow the debris back up further and into the box containing the evaporator.

Can you open the sunroof and check to see if the drivers side front drain is not plugged ? You can run some weed whacker line down it to clear a blockage, blow air down it, or pour water down and see if it backs up. That would eliminate the sunroof as the source.
I had the AC line plugged in a Subaru and had to pump water in and vacuum it out from the drain to flush and clear it.

The Ac drain is on passanger side. Check your grommet that the oem wires go through the firewall. And if you have aftermarket wires going through. It can definitely leak from it.

I'm going to guess p/o, (or yourself), ran some wires through the firewall and it's leaking via the new entry way

I had soaked carpet on the passenger side last week after a long drive through heavy rain on a very hot day. I did two things. First I checked the sunroof drains. The front driver's side was clogged, so I blew it out with compressed air and now it flows fine. The front passenger side drain was flowing perfectly, so I doubt my wet carpet on the passenger side had anything to do with the clogged drain on the driver's side.

There was some water dripping out of the AC evaporator drain hose as it should, but it didn't seem like a lot. I blew compressed air into the drain hose under the hood. I could hear ALOT of water bubbling in there. I removed the air hose and a ton of water poured out. Clearly this was my issue. Thought this might help someone. Good luck.

I was driving yesterday with the ac on and for the first time ever i noticed a couple drops of cold water on my leg... i think i might have the same issue

AC evaporator is behind the glove box. the black plastic that you can see below the glove box is the housing for the ac evaporator

I have had a lot of issues with wet passenger side carpet. I have no clue where mine is coming in from. My sister wrecked the vehicle and I have a feeling something cracked and allows rain in. I recently changed the blower fan (and then my AC worked fine). Recently, the air was "pulsing" on and off as I drove. I changed the AC resister under the dash. Solved the pulsing, but now my AC went from ice cold to only blowing warm air. Anyone have any insight? I have an AC relay on order from Amazon, but concerned that will not be issue as I looked at the compressor wheel today and it was spinning.
