What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

2005 SE V-8 4WD with rear spoiler, DRL, Home-Link and floor mats........$26,500 brand new. List was $34,7xx if I remember right. That was end-of-year sale including $3000 Toyota cash back. I've seen used ones for sale recently for thousands more than that.

Now That was a deal!!!!!

Price

Bought my 05 SE V6 in June 06 with less than 100 miles on it for $23,995........VERY good deal! Traded in 03 tiburon for 8,000, put 5,000 down, payments are $270.00/month for 5 years financed.

I bought my 04 Limited in Dec. 04 with the works (every option $44k sticker) for $33k, it was a dealer demo and the owners daughter drove it.

It doesn't really matter what you paid total. Only what you paid vs. msrp or invoice. I bought my v8 limited for only $500 over invoice. A very good deal.

I used the package I bought at http://fightingchance.com/ to find the best deal in my area.

what I paid

I believe my sticker was $35,911 for the 2004 Sport Edition 4x4 V8 with sunroof, spoiler, 6 disc JBL Synthesis, and double decker system. Got into a argument with some manager and was going to kick his A#@. Just wanted my car keys back and he wouldnt give them back. Got home and the Gen Man called and appologized and sold it to me for 31,200 and 3.9% finance. I know its not as good of a deal as some people got but its the best I ever came out of a dealership. I did not feel like they bent me over...

darkmark how did you like the package at http://fightingchance.com/ ? I am going to be picking up an v8 06 Sport in the next month or so and of course want to get the best deal out there. I would be interested in how others identified the absolutely best way to get the best price.

I did not buy mine, so it was not really a matter of getting a certain "price" for a sale. I leased it for 36 months/36,000 miles.

My primary focus was on the capitalized cost versus the residual value. I think the cap cost was in the high-28s and my residual value is 19k.....and I can buy it for that price at the end of the lease. Otherwise, I can simply walk away. The 4Runner is one of the best vehicles for leasing, as it holds its value well. Leasing a similarly-equipped Ford Explorer would have cost me another $120 to $130 a month because they depreciate much faster.

My payment is $265 a month, including gap insurance from Toyota. That is probably the only 'extra' item on which you should spend your hard-earned money. Paint protection, pinstriping and rust inhibitor are nothing more than the stealership padding its already high profit margins. Having a top-tier credit rating greatly enhances your opportunity for leasing a vehicle. If your credit is lousy, they'll up the "money factor" on you enough to make it a bad deal to lease at all.

I figure that it was better for me to lease it for that price every month, or fork out more than six hundred bucks a month in order to eventually own it. For me, I would rather lease it and save myself a few bucks. I don't like the idea of being "upside down" on a car for 40 percent of the loan's term! Also, I can treat myself to a brand-new vehicle in 2008 if I so choose. Meanwhile, I can put aside the other $300 or so that I 'save' and use it as an eventual downpayment if I decide to buy my next car instead of leasing it.
:awais:

Since I have another vehicle (my Sentra) which is paid off, I can keep the mileage lower on the 4Runner so I don't get hit with extra fees for exceeding the 36k limit. This is one part of leasing new cars where a lot of people get hosed. That quoted payment sounds nice enough, until you get hit with driving 15k miles a year on a 12k per year lease.

Last year I found a used 04 SR5 V8 4x4 with only 3500 miles...yes, 3500 miles. I has just about everything but leather. Has the moonroof and like a 9 speaker stereo. It still smelled new ! And it had the extended warranty and the maintainence program (which I havent used). A younger lady had bought it for a second vehicle and needed to sell it to buy a house. I paid $26000 for it.
It too is a second vehicle for me. I keep it garaged and drive it now and then. I've put less than 10,000 miles on it since May 2004. I also have a 95 T-100 thats my daily driver.

I got mine V6 4x4 Sport Edition with the JBL option couple days ago. Model 8666.

NO sunroof. I wish I thought about it.

$30,300+tax+license+other paper stuffs.

I paid $31,800 for a 2006 Sport 4x4 V6 with a few options.

It ended up being about $500 over invoice.
Was it after the $1000 rebate? Mine was after the $1k rebate.

I paid 18,9 for my 03 SR5 V8 w/ 41k miles about a month ago. I feel like I got a good deal because it looks like the truck has never been driven. I also felt like it was great price considering kbb.com and NADA guides said it was worth about 23 or more give or take.

Sorry, I should have qualified my statement by saying it was a lease so it didn't qualify for the rebate.

It did have a .00022 money factor which works out to about .5%.

I paying $328 per month for 36 months with no money down.

Not a bad deal I think.

I was just quoted for a sr5 v6 2wd at $24,895 (with the included $1,000 rebate and ALL fees included) before tax, title, license. Also not included was an additional fee that I need clarification with: $8.75 Cali tire tax?

Basically, I've decided to not opt for any options, so basically it will come with the standard equipment or what have you.

Edmund's tmv invoice with no options and the 1k rebate is $24825. so about $70 over invoice? is this a good deal or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

06 sr5 4wd sunroof package 29,100

5,000 for my 2000 civic w/ 97,000 miles.

problem was I went to my dealership at school (Harrisonburg, VA) and saw a 4x4 SE for $200 more. So bitter.

Picked up my 06' Limited V8 4X4 today. Stickered for $41,631 and I paid invoice (around $38,000) minus $1500 rebate. Got top dollar for my trade and ended up writing a check for $29,000 to include tax, title and tags. Best part, I have owned it for about 7 hours now and its paid off:biggrin2:
