What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?

Mountain States Toyota in Denver. They had the exact truck I wanted in inventory, they were professional, and handled the whole transaction very smoothly.

I am now a big fan!

And the price was right too :

I was just in Denver last week! ofcourse I bought my 4R in Oct here in NY. Would have been glad to drive it back for the price you paid though, would have been a vacation all in itself.

I told them I wanted a Sport Edition V8 in Shadow Mica with everything but JBL sound and we walked around the lot and found one that was exactly what I wanted. They did have a lot of inventory though - SR5s, Sports, Limiteds, V6s and V8s, and all the colors.

So unless you were looking for an extremely rare combo like an SR5, V8, 4X2 in Stratosphere Mica you would most likely find the rig you were looking for.

Once we located the particular truck on the lot, the wife and I went off for lunch promising to return.

We came back in about an hour's time geared for battle. It took us about an hour of haggling to get the numbers right.

We did the deal and drove home with the new truck in the middle of a huge rainstorm at about 4:00PM.

Great opportunity to test out the 4X4

how can an SE cost that much? a loaded limited v8 4wd runs around 44k msrp, while a loaded SE is around 38k.

When I priced out a new LTD V8 4x4 with Nav, JBL, Entertainment package and everything else that's "optional" it came out over $47k on toyota's "build your 4Runner" site. That's why I bought CPO'd. I could easily swing that payment, it's just stupid.

My 2005 sport cost $22,400. With tax, title, plate & dealer fee, I am at $23,800. Financed it through Toyota financial for 3.9% for 60 months.

loaded as in having all the options.

priced on the toyota website... forgot that some regions have diff options available. the 3rd rwo, rear seat entertainment and rear air suspension doesnt show up for PA which i guess makes up for the extra 3k

Priced a V8 SE 4WD on edmunds.com to $41204 with everything, that one probably had dealer or port installed options for over $42k. Member matoolie got a V6 SE 4WD with a sticker over $40k, his thread.

Adding in all that dealer extras...aftermarket leather, valor tip, etc.

I think it was $38,500 before the extras. I'd have to look to be sure, though

There was a Limited V8 on the same lot with a sticker, after extras, of $47k I think.

Elaborate please... what does option A consist of, different regions will put together different option combinations and call them option packages. Toyota doesn't build cars that way, you can pick each option individually unless the brochure specifically says you can't, i.e. rear air suspension without X-REAS on a V8 Limited or RSES without moonroof. Also what year is the 4Runner?

I didn't want to wait, and the only Limited they had was a color I didn't like. Plus the SE had everything I wanted, so no need for me to spend more.

2007 Limited with X-reas, moonroof, JBL synthesis, side airbags, and tow package. I got it for $37,000 thanks to AAA. Now just waiting for it to show up.

07 V8 Limited 4wd, Option B (navi, sunroof, side airbag, curtain airbag, spoiler), paid $39300 before tax and license. $150 over invoice. sticker was $43477. i guess it is not too bad at the price.

'03 SR5 V6 4x4 with 11,000 miles on it.

Paid nothing for it. Zero, zip, nada. I inherited it after my dad passed away in January. Didn't even have to pay any taxes.

Zero on the license plates too, as we have my wife's Handicapped Veteran plates on it, which are also free.
