I ended up pulling the trigger. 2007 SR5 with 45k miles. 19k. Everything works. No rust. Super clean minus some scuffs on the rear bumper.

I was hesitant to post up in here as I know we can all drive ourselves crazy trying to get the best bang for the buck, but I have mine now and I'm happy with it, so I figured why not toss it out there.

$13,000 USD.

'05 SR5 V8 4WD, 171K miles. 4WD fully working as well as locker. Timing chain replaced at 150K miles, No cracks in the manifolds, and frame was PERFECT. All of the spots where rust first starts to show its face were super clean. Came with stock wheels and brand new Falken Wildpeak AT3s at 265/70R17.

Only issues the seller was upfront about and reimbursed me for the parts. All 4 door lock actuators replaced, a few lights in the climate control that burnt out, and all 5 TPMS sensors. 3 were out, but he said replace em all at same time.

Took it to my mechanic when I got it home to make sure there wasn't anything I missed, and he was dumbfounded at how great a shape it was in.

Already have my OME 886/896 lift, waiting on the UCAs, and once installed, I will be switching out the wheels and tires for new 285/70R17 BFG KO2s. Will sell the other set.

Nice find. If that one was for sale around here some jerk would surely be asking 30k for it. Another one just came up this morning with nearly triple that many miles for 22k. I think maybe I'll just buy another Jeep instead. I can't stand all the greedy prices anymore...

Just picked up a White 2004 Sport V6 with 187k for $1000.00. So far the 4x4 is not working, the a/c does not blow cold and a bad driver side wheel bearing. Overall runs great. Found a set of 07 FJ Bilsteins and colis with less than 1000 miles on them for $140.00. Also found a set of 2019 17" wheels and tires with 3000 miles on them for $250.00. Going to start rebuilding the front this winter along with fixing the a/c and 4x4.

The runner was from Portland, OR. The rust that is there is not bad at all and no accidents as well. I picked it from a buddys neighbor. It has been sitting in her driveway for a couple years with very little use. The lady had quotes to get everything fixed and she said the price reflects those repairs. Overall it's in good condition with all the common Toyota issues, faded paint, yellow lights, broken 4x4 and so on. It will be a great first vehicle for my son when he turns 16 next year.

Thanks, been engaging it several times. Hopefully it frees up. Looks like the condenser coil has a hole in the bottom of it. Will most likely start there. These runners are easy to work on, it will definitely be a good project for the boy.

2004 V8 with 89k miles bought it for 5K. No rust and in great shape considering the age.

2003 SR5 4WD (4.7L V8) model with 164,000 miles on it, paid $5,000 in 2015.

Still driving it in 2021, now with 245,000 miles on it. I wish I still had a take-home vehicle for work, it would have a lot less additional mileage.

I've dropped about $3000 into it (outside of normal oil, tires, filters, brakes, etc) in the last three years. Rebuilt the entire front end, replaced most of the AC system, and replaced the suspension.

I'd hazard a guess I could get what I paid for it back out of it right now if I had a quality detail job done to it.

Kevin at Eibach Tech Support was incredibly helpful. (800-222-8111 ext. 114)

He recommended that I set the front shock height adjustment c-clip to the 1st ring. This is the least amount of front lift, so it retains a bit of the rake but allows for the occasional heavy load. This my daily driver and is on pavement 90% of the time, so it seemed a good compromise.

Paid 8,500 for my 07 SR5. It was listed at 10,000 but I asked if they would take 8,500 for it and they did it. Got it at the local Infiniti dealer here in town. Had been on their lot for over 3 months and I just think they wanted to get rid of it. They also put a new battery in it cause the one in it was dead.

Neighbor and first owner was selling his 2006 t4r sport 2wd. Had 256k miles, a couple dash lights (tpms and emissions light if memory serves), 1 inch rip in drivers seat, speedo lights not working, intermit wipers not working

Paod him $1800 for it, and she is cherry besides the couplebthings mentioned above.

Replaced the gas cap,

did and exhaust bypass kit (cant think of the proper term for it, dealt with emmissions)

Sewed up the seat

LED swapped the speedo cluster thinking bad LEDs, but new ones didnt work, so swapped out cluster and did BLUE LED swap.

Blue LED ac control swap (removed tpms LED since not running tpms sensors)

Fresh 3m 5% tint with 55% ceramic on windshield

Stuff that is up and coming

I have a set of tacoma off rd front coilovers on standby, along with 4runner specific rear shocks. Will do end links, upper and lower control arms as well, and all ball joints, and all bushings.

Pending brake system replacement (4 calipers, rotars, 1 dust shield, and lines)

Lastly need to do spark plugs.

Going to do some emergency vehicle lighting for use during disaster relief (rear directional, 4 corner hideaway stobes, visor lights, and side lighting)

Ditch lighting and rear pod lights, debating on side pods or light bars (for use at my farm in BFE georgia)

Overall for $1800 bucks in april 2021, i got a steal.
