What did our 4Runners cost when they were new?

My base model sold for $24,100. That included the SR5 upgrades like aluminum wheels, power windows, automatic transmission, air conditioning, and privacy glass.

Did not come with a roof rack, air deflector, tow package, 16" wheels, fender trim, or 6 speaker stereo.

i was hoping there was a pattern in the numbers themselves that told you the cost & junk.

I believe my 97 was 39k and change. I have the records in Maryland. That was with a bunch of accessories and all options, but the diff lock which was 325. I remember my Dad having to really haggle with them to take 1k off sticker. 4runners were really in demand when they first came out.

1997, 2.7, 2WD, Manual.

The only Options were A/C and a Cassette Player, doesn't even have ABS.

MSRP was 19,988$.

bought a 13 limited about a month ago it stickered for 45K but we got it for 40
according to Edmunds and Kelly the 2013 Toyotas have the highest retained value of any other vehicle,I hope they are right because this is my first Japanese vehicle and I have always been able to get 250-300k on my Chevrolets before buying a new one

JT3HN86R8W0138181 worked there. I don't think they use "o" or "i" in VINs.

Again, very generall as far as options. Dealer has all the records and only uses the VIN as a lookup of the original build/sale documents.

I got my 2001 from the dealership where the original owner traded it in when he bought a new 4runner. To my pleasant surprise the original window sticker was in the glove box and the total price was $33,500:wow: Mine is an SR5 with the sport hood, moon roof, big fender flares and cloth interior. It has the bigger front disc brake package also.
