What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Attached and wired my light bar onto the GOBI. Good Lord, that throws a LOT of light! It looks like the windshield was installed a few millimeters to the left: not a whole lot of room to run any
wires behind the weatherstripping on that side. Upside is that I was able to run both wires along the passenger side. Notched the rubber trim on the roof to bring out the wiring. I'm pleased with
the way it looks: nice and clean.

It's the Rigid Industries RDS 40" light bar in the Midnight Edition. (The RDS are the curved light bar). Essentially, it's a blacked out version that matches my 4Runner. I bought it from Northridge 4x4: would have been free shipping, but they were only a 45 minute drive from me so I picked it up. Great guys to work with.

It was brand new only had 3 miles on the ODO. They put them in as soon as the roll off the truck in case they get stolen is what my friend at the stealer-ship told me. It also allows them to disable the vehicle if needed...thank god my friend didn't want to play a joke on me!

Some lots place them on vehicles that have people with subprime loans. Miss a payment? Zap. Car disabled. It'll be turned back on when you pay.

Guy I know works at one of those BHPH lots and they do it to every vehicle that leaves as all their buyers are subprime. They know where every car they in-house finance is.

Awesome. I didn't know the Gobi mounts supported curved light bars. I feel like I read it somewhere that they didn't. Good to know!!

Black Out Kit

I received both my weather tech floor liners and the emblem black out kit all today. Here is a picture of the difference between the chrome and black.

Picked up my truck from the lift shop after hours, ran home prepped for date. I then proceeded to blind everyone I drove behind with the HID kit and headlights that haven't yet been adjusted for the lift. Thankfully I saw the police car ahead on the interstate and was able to stay 4-5 cars behind him for the 12 miles of interstate our paths stayed together. First up tomorrow, wheel alignment then some headlight adjustment before work.

Haha nope not the case here...paid full in cash. I called today and I guess the salesman was new and forgot to remove it from what the GM said. He asked if I could drop it off and he would make it worth my whole for my troubles.....???

Having these Toytec BOSS 2.5's and the rest of the ultimate kit installed today. New tires and wheels tomorrow!

RCI drop shipped them and ToyTec required a signature, so I almost didn't have them until today, but we talked to the FedEx guy through the Ring Doorbell, and he gave me his cell and said go ahead and come over to his house and pick them up. He said he knows how it is when car parts get delivered, people don't usually want to wait until the next day

What is weird is they shipped in 3 boxes, but the front coilovers were the only box that required a signature.. He left the other two on the porch..
