Your thoughts on the new performance mods???

I'm happy with it! Butt dyno is rockin!
The truck is a Limited so just out of curiosity, I was thinking of getting time on an AWD dyno. Hoping maybe the forces would be more equal on all four corners and not kick in the traction control. Although AWD will rob some power so my numbers might not even be close to yours. Did you ever get an accurate pull in lower rpms? I haven't checked your thread in awhile.
I don't want to mislead people, so I'm being conservative with out real facts to report obviously. I do like the sound, just enough to notice at hwy speed without the drone, and when it opens up it sounds great!
I will say that in my case, at a heavy 5980 lbs on the CAT scale, its made a big difference. On the hwy the truck easily accelerates in overdrive now, instead of having to down shift because of a slight head wind. Gas Mileage seems better in the short term but no real numbers to support that either. Overall though?, "LE Mae" is happy happy!! Thank you [MENTION=116156]TheWraith[/MENTION]

Quest for Tires

I ordered a set of Cooper AT3's through Discount Tires after doing lots of research on this site and others. Took advantage of their Find It Lower offer and got them to match prices with Walmart's online price. Saved $23 bucks a tire so that's better than nothing. I'll post a pic of them once they get installed.

Not today, but over the weekend I finally spent some quality time wiring up the AOB switches I have for the center console behind the shifter. After doing some searching around on this wonderful resource, I figured out that all the wiring for the switches that go to the heated seats (that I don’t have) runs all the way to the last wiring harness under the center console. This works well since I also found out that if I picked up that last harness I would be able to cut the wires on that and tap into the 12v line (blue) for the relay trigger as well as the 2 wires needed for the illumination (green+, grey-), meaning cleaner wiring and I can set the original harness aside just in case I want to go back to stock.
Part 82223-35100 is the switch wire set that connects to the control for the rear window as well as the heated seats. $22 at my local dealer. After pugging it in and confirming the configuration with a meter, some clipping, stripping, crimping, and connecting, everything works like a charm! Pictures only show one, but I wired up both since I had two switches to use.

I don’t like how long I left the wires on the AOB switch, and I may go back and solder + heat shrink the wires instead of crimping. But then again, it fit works and I don’t think it is anything that can’t be tied down with some zip ties or electrical tape since this isn’t exactly an exposed area.

The one thing that no manufacturer is doing is matching the frontal coverage of the stock gas tank skid. I’d prefer to see something a couple inches taller on the front side of an aftermarket version. Probably totally unnecessary being above the frame rail with very minimal exposure, especially if you are adding a decent t-case skid, but it is just a plastic tank under there.

Yeah, that bugs me too. On RCI's tank skid there isn't even a rim along the front edge.

Spent a few days at Capitol Reef NP. South Draw Road is definitely recommended!!! I didn't make it all the way through since I was by myself but it was nice to put the 4R into 4Lo in a few areas. Also made a side trip to Goblin Valley State Park and Swing Arm City OHV.

A tale of two kids...

Here are my twin six-year-olds for their first soccer practice. The one on the right we call Thing One scored 8 goals and the one on the left we call Thing Two ran into another kid's head and got a grape sized knot on his head. Anyway, the 4Runner did a marvelous job getting Soccer Dad and boys to the fields and back.

No spacers. Just the rims and tires. The offset probably makes them look wider
