I unfortunately didn't get to finish my retrofit but I did get a chance to aim and set the projectors. I decided that I would paint my shrouds black and add a Halo ring which is why I didn't finish the install today. So it looks like I will be postponing this project another week or two.

Had a Flowmaster 50 series put on. Price with install $225, the guy had it installed within an hour of me dropping it off. Sounds really good and the drone isn't so bad inside. I also noticed an increase in mpg.

Did Governor Basin (easy) and all of its side roads (somewhat harder) yesterday. Took mineral creek to Mineral Point and went over Engineer today. Stumbled upon a really cool side road on Engineer that went to over 12K ft to an old mine. Will post pics in the off-road thread if I get time in the next couple of days.

4Runner pulled the boat to my annual fishing tribute!
My Dad passed away 4 years ago today. He was my best friend and fishing buddy. So, every year on this date I head out to one of our top secret spots in my boat (which used to be his) and make a day of it.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate my Dad's life- he lived to fish.:fish2:

Thank you, it is a custom one I built last month. I placed the tire up high and angled so I can still use the OEM backup cam. The double sheer hinge is from Comp4X4 http://www.comp4x4.com/Tire-Carrier-Hinge-Kit-with-Double-Shear-Bracket-HEAVY-DUTY.html talk about BEEFY. The double locking SS latch and clevis' I got from them as well. It also will hold two 4 gallon RotoPax for fuel or water when needed.

Installed my Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller today (another easy mod in the books) in preparation to take delivery of my home away from home between deployments tomorrow. Pictures of the rolling studio apt. to come.

Drove 30+ minutes each way and then sat at the dealership for two hours to wait for them to program the key to my 2013 SR5 that they lost during the sale and had to order. That was annoying.
Upside: They comped me an oil change for my trouble--although I had to ask.
Better upside: They programmed the remote window roll-down, and roll up/roll down with the key in the driver's side door. Dude at the counter didn't know about it, but the tech apparently did.

Finally ordered my lift 
I ended up going with an Icon Stage 2 but... I pieced it together and went with the remote reservoirs in the front and just the normal extended coilovers in the rear with the Icon 2" lift springs. I also went with the Light Racing UCAs.

The reason I put in a brake controller
Picked up my Keystone Passport Elite 23RB yesterday. It's my 23ft home away from home when I'm not deployed since I'm a geographic bachelor. It's pretty solid. You can't see it because it's covered but it's an undermounted stainless steel sink. So far it tows pretty well, the 2" of butt sag sucks but will be corrected next week, once I'm resettled, with an Airlift 1000 kit. Before any bashing about a tow vehicle, I know it's not an ideal TV but I compromised on the RV (length/weight) to keep the 4R, since it wasn't practical or financially viable to trade it in for something else (not to mention once I park it, it's not moving for several months, except 10 miles to the lot where it's stored while I'm gone). Fully loaded (for me) it sits around 4800lbs (I know others have been considering other RVs around 4400ish lbs, so I wanted to pass this experience along. I have never towed with a vehicle before (towed many of boats with a boat) but I definitely don't feel like I'm white knuckling anything with this even with the steeper grades by my house (about 12%). First 100 miles been avg 12.8mpg which I expected based on other threads. Doing an 800 mile trip from WA to Bay Area, CA. Will report how that goes when I'm done.
