I performed some basic maintenance today with the help of my (soon to be!) 6yr old daughter, Alex. She stayed under the truck with me the entire time shining the flashlight everywhere but where I needed it. I still remember my dad saying "Dammit boy! I'm working over here, not in the yard!" HA!

She now knows how to change the front and rear diff oil along with the transfer case oil. Afterwards she said her favorite part was when I pumped the "oooool" back into those metal things, because that was sooo cool.


She will be available for any of you guys that can't do your own.:behindsofa:

Bad timing (day) for the rear struts go out...my wife opened the rear to get the groceries out, then all I hear was a thud. Walked to the back to find her not happy with the lift gate on her head.

Guess who got to cook dinner, clean the dishes and start the laundry tonight....?!?

Did a little archery hunting. Had a few smaller bucks close-by, but nothing legal. No matter. It was a spectacular day: bright full moon on the way in, then a great sunrise. And got the tires off the tarmac. All good.

Just started getting into archery my self... I will eventually want to go archery hunting too! Ever caught anything? Do you use a cross bow or conventional?

I've only been at it with any regularity for about 10 years, but it is fantastic. Ive taken a few decent deer, no trophies, but thats of little interest to me. I now hunt only one day per year with a rifle, and as long as my dad wants to keep going out, I'll be right there with him. Then I go back to the bow.

I shoot a Bear compound bow. Not as fancy as the high-end brands out there, but quite effective and reliable. Been thinking about a crossbow, but havent pulled the trigger yet (yeaah, see what i did there? hahaha) Come to think of it, i should probably get on that and introduce my dad to archery with a tool that will be more familiar than a conventional bow.

Thats it....buying one.....

I was thinking about trying the astrium kit on Amazon, definitely going to call the dealership and compare prices first and pick up a stock rear view camera to complete the swap. Have you tried the weathertech digital fit floor mats rock-n-ruin? I picked those up about a month ago and couldn't be happier. The price is a little steep but I'd get them again. I think it was around $180 for the front and middle set.

In the Larz Anderson Auto Museum all Japanese car show today with [MENTION=63211]emelianenkov[/MENTION] and [MENTION=79558]rfuree11[/MENTION]. There were a lot of Nissan GT-R R35's and Acura NSX's along with many older Nissan 270 Z's. Overall it was a nice day. Hoping maybe next year we can have a larger built 4Runner group from T4R.ORG!

Finally managed to pull my 4runner into the garage I just finished clearing out, so that I can do some maintenance work and install my lift:

I had my wife spot me into the garage while she hung off the passenger side slider to help throw some weight on there and lower the height, lol.

Needless to say I need to do some brain storming on how I am going to get the 4runner back out after the lift is installed inside the garage. I think I might have to air down, lol.

All I know is someone's installing a new TALLER garage door come next spring

I broke down and bought a grease gun so I can install my lower links that I recently bought. I can't seem to be able to find one with a 90 degree head.
