How did your alignment and fit work out? I have a buddy that just put 33s on his gen4 to make a cool mall crawler.

Then a 3" spacer lift.

Then UCAs.

After clearancing his fender and guards.

Then longer sway bar links.

Sure looks cool though!

LOL, mall crawler, nice. At one point I was thinking spacers, but wanted to improve off-road performance and ride quality in addition to the the lift. Glad I went that route.

Alignment came out well, put back to factory specs. That's the main reason I went with the aftermarket UCA's, to avoid any issues. Clearance of the tires is actually very good, just a oh so slight rub at full turn, left side in reverse. Need to get under and do a little trim most likely. Hasn't been enough to make me feel as though I need to rush and get it taken care of though.

Had some fun on one of the Mono Lake 4x4 Trails. This one is on the North side of the lake and follows the Bodie & Benton Railroad grade. Sand only was deep in this section, but was no issue for the 4R.

Had some fun on one of the Mono Lake 4x4 Trails. This one is on the North side of the lake and follows the Bodie & Benton Railroad grade. Sand only was deep in this section, but was no issue for the 4R.

Did some of those in my FJ a few years back... Pinstripe galore! Those little bushes do not look like they scratch, but they do!

I don't see a way to install them both. The C4 sliders share the 3 vertical bolts with the existing fuel skid. Installation requires you put the mounting tabs for the C4 sliders between the frame and the fuel skid, then bolt them all together in 3 spots.

The RCI fuel skid uses those same holes, except it's a rigid piece of metal that wont easily bend up the way the stock fuel skid does. They basically want to live in the exact same space as each other, but only one can.

I went to a local auto repair shop and had the fuel tank skid plate installed. I was able to install the rest of the skid plates on my own.

Thought I had missed the entrance, so entered via the exit and did the trail backwards, but when I got to the end that comes out to the 167 the gate blocking the entrance was there.

There's a home back there, but the driveway for it starts after a T. Thinking they just don't like off-roading and are trying to stop people, but maybe you'd know if it was there in the past.

Makes sense. Inyo National Forest is looking into it for me. Either they are having a land dispute with them, or they put the fence in the wrong place. Whether on accident or on purpose is the question.

yup, i love this look. not knocking the lifted guys, buy i like the stock height with 275's. thats how mine is, and it looks factory tuff.

Packed the 4R with some gear for my six week trip to Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. We are leaving early tomorrow morning for more than 21000 km.

I am still debating if I will do an oil change since to reach Utah and back this is 7500 km only on interstate.

Don't believe I was by the hot springs. I did the old railroad grade where the Bodie & Benton line used to run through. The closest thing to their land was the Sulphur Ponds? I think that's what they were called.

I know there are a lot of trails over that way.

Found out there are some drain holes under the carpet and it was surprisingly easy to take out and put back in.
