Installed my lift today, Bilstein 5100’s and Dobinson 300/599. Pretty straight forward install. Ride is great, slightly stiffer but more controlled and more sporty feeling. Definitely worth the money and I have to say the teal springs look awesome!

We did Sandstone Canyon. It wasn’t supposed to be this hot (97*) so I guess we just got lucky! I gotta say, we had fun. It wasn’t anything that I’d want to rush back and do, as far as a technical trail, but it was nice to get out into the desert and it was very pretty out there.

So, the only place on the trail, where you actually need to lock in, is pretty fun. Is a little tougher on the way back. There is a rock there that has to have claimed thousands of door panels. At least one Land Rover that we saw. My girl is a quick study and actually did a kick-ass job of spotting me through.

There’s also a nice spot next to that rock pile to have a snack and a beer. All-in-all, a nice day for sure.

Anza is one of my favorite spots... It's a different world out there. and the terrain is different depending on where you are. Its really out of this world

I love the desert! This was our first time out to Anza. I’d love to do it with a group that knows the area. When I had my rail, I spent all my time in Dumont and Death Valley. Ocotillo looks like fun!

That’s awesome. I do a lot of astronomy and should look into this. Back when I had my JK, there was no “push-on” interior light so I put a Petzl TacTica headlamp on the overhead bar using a climbing helmet mount. That light had a red filter you could fold down to achieve the same effect, it was super helpful.

So these LED’s are switchable from red to white? I wonder if you could swap all the interior lights out for these.

I have my front map lights with red led's. The middle light is a normal white led. This works for me and it's nice on the eyes while driving.

I’ve never though of red LED’s for map lights. I’m definitely going to do that!

Finally installed the updated NAV Map SD Card I got off eBay. Bought it for $50 and sold the old one for $35...so basically $15 to update to the latest map. I normally don't update but figured since I just got our 4R that I would go ahead and do it.:cheers:

Played around on some Otay Mesa spur trails and learned a lesson about walking unknown trails before driving them. One spur dead-ended in the brush on top of a ~500' slope and I had the pleasure of doing the sketchiest multipoint turn of my life.

Less than three weeks old and only 520 miles I took the Great White Swank Tank out to his First Dirt adventure.

Played with 4Hi 4Lo ATAC Crawl Control Locker yada yada yada. It all worked great.

I trimmed my SR5 rocker panel molding in order to get sliders on. This was the first mod I have done on the '11 runner since getting it in December. It wasn't bad, just time consuming for Bever doing something like this before. I also pulled the chrome trim out and painted black.
