Roof rack/awning/light bar bought from a local 4runner owner with the group LFD Offroad! Love it!

Nice, LFD are good people. Drove to their shop for some steel bars about a month ago, they’re only about an hour from me.

picked up a 42" Plano waterproof rifle case and mounted it to the roof rack to free up some trunk space. All material including the case itself was under $100

The dog could also sleep in front of the cooler right beside the cot, I used that spot for clothes and stored a stove, camping supplies, and other things under the cot. It works pretty good.

The evolution of my lighting solutions for the rear hatch. From stock (meh) to 12 LED replacement (better) to the latest solution.

Turns out the rear hatch lighting setup is just fine on the 4Runner. It’s just missing about 48 LEDs in the stock configuration. FYI there was no flash used in the pics below.

What remains to be seen is how the plastic covers will handle the placement of the new LEDs and resulting heat. I may need to play with this a bit....

Process is a straight forward oil change. Crack open a beer Remove, clean, replace gasket on fill hole. Crack open a beer Remove drain plug, clean, replace gasket, torque to 27 ft lb. Crack open beer Fill until overflow around 1.2-1.3 qt, clean torque fill plug to 27 ft lb. Bada Bing, Bada boom. Crack open a beer.

I had an incredibly liberal teacher, as a child, that had a similar bumper sticker. He used to mock me in class due, to my 2nd amendment upbringing. Looking back, that dude was a d-hole. But, I always cracked up when I saw that bumper sticker! freakin hilarious!

Installed my fridge and solar panel yesterday. Still need to rewire the outlet in the back to make it always hot, as well as wire up the solar panel.
