I flew into O’Hare this morning dreading a boring drive into Wisconsin, only to find a 2019 SR5 with less than 3,000 miles waiting for me in the car rental garage. This day just got a whole lot better, especially with 6” of snow forecast for tonight.

Thanks man! We have a baby on the way very soon! I tied into the dome light ground in the driver's side a pillar. I found this write up by Frank Rebelo that's super helpful. Because the dome lights dim when they turn off, the relay you add will probably make a buzz as they shut off. If it bugs you, you can fix it by adding a capacitor to the relay.

Rim situation... from confusing to kind of awesome. I was planning on running my oem SR5 rims with 265/70/17 blizzaks for winter,

Summer, I bought some replica TRD Pro sema rims and 285 duratracs. They're not mounted or anything yet and just sitting in my garage cause it's hella cold in Edmonton (-40 at night with wind).

My wife's winter set up keeps leaking air. I've had the tire shop sort it out twice already but I'm done with it. I'm topping up the tire every weekend and it's getting annoying.

So, I asked my wife if she just wants my SR5 rims on her v8 4th gen. That way, no air issues and life is good.

But that means I'll be out of my winter setup. I decided to take her winter tires and turn my TRD Pro sema rims into my winter set up. For summer, I'll still have my 285 duratracs but I'm slapping them on 17*8 konig 6 shooters (matte bronze).

Kind of a win-win. I have a good looking winter set up (the oem sr5 rims were grossing me out but if it's for winter, I don't care enough to buy new winter rims) and an awesome summer set up. I was eyeballing some te37s as I had some on my subaru sti a couple years ago but I can't justify another $4500 set of rims. Maybe I'll take it out of the kid's education fund

Got my ArcLight Icarus map light board in today, and got it installed.
Got the white/red board.
Looks great, and is brighter than the led bulbs i had in there.
Can't wait until dark to run out and test the red light option.

Directions were easy to follow. Took about an hour, because I was going slow, and had to drill the center lens for the white/red switch.

Very happy with the purchase so far, and will be ordering the dome and hatch lights in a few months, both with the red light option.

Took a trip with the wife down to have some breakfast this morning and backed in next to this limited. Didn’t notice until I was taking the picture that the hood was different. Did limiteds ever come with scoops? The rest of it looked as normal. Oh, the FJ was looking to guard the front door.

Well sad day for me. Driving at night and my new HID xDDepot bulbs fall upon a large dog in the middle of the road. Going 70, prolly down to 60mph by the time I hit it. Super sad. I went back and she had died. No chance to survive that. Had a collar but no tags and was probably 2-3 miles from closest house.

Anyway, front bumper sustained some damage.
