After this photo got the Limited stuck in some sugar sand like a noob. First time with my 4runner at a beach. I shouldn't have tried to turn so much and lost speed. I aired down to 20psi and it pulled put on it's own. Still embarrassing with people watching.

MY FIRST "TRUCK" EVER!!! I've been a proud sports car guy from day one and have had 10+ in the last 25 years of driving. Two weeks ago I sold my Italian baby ('13 Maserati GranTurismo) after 5 years and 65k miles of excitement and bought myself and wife new 4Runners with a little money left over for upgrades. I am absolutely IN LOVE with this vehicle and the million and one things you guys are doing to them!!! The only real mod that I could do on the Mas was a $36k (yes, THOUSAND) supercharger and there's no way in hell I'm spending that for ~100hp.

I bought an SR5 knowing full well I'd be gutting the factory suspension and getting an ARB locker soon after. In hindsight the crawl control bits would have been nice but I found mine for a great pric e. As soon as I got her home I had my parts waiting and she rolled out of the garage for the first time today.

The first mods so far..... Icon 2.5 Exten Travel suspension w/ reservoirs, absolutely beautiful JBA upper control arms, Dobinsons rear lift springs, high clearance bumper cut mod (SSO front coming), SSO sliders already ordered, LED headlights, interior lights and yellow LED fogs with yellow Laminex, PRO grille mod, Antman's neat rear cupholder mod, replaced all interior speakers with some decent Kickers 6.5s, Spidertrax and plastidipped the OEM wheels for now.

Next on the list is TacoTunes 4Channel and Mono Amp kit, building a fiberglass enclosure for 10" sub on rear pocket, and getting a set of bronze Icon Rebounds with KO2s.

This forum seems like a never ending supply of cool ideas! Now I just need to find some trails near Roanoke, VA to learn how to use this thing properly!! :rockon:

Just got my kings back from servicing/rebuild. Had 2 shafts replaced, all bearings, new rod ends and shaft guards!

I took the T4R out Ephraim Rd in Unicoi County, TN today. It was pretty dry so it was a very (technically) easy trail. Most of the other trails indicated by Gaia couldn’t be found...

Went on my first offroad drive after 2 years of ownership, went to Rowher Flat OHV in Angeles national Forest next to Santa Clarita, CA, it was great, the RS5 with cheap offroad tiers is a very capable machine, was nervous in the beginning but i survived. Just have to find some time to do that again, didnt have a permit though, couldnt figure where do i pay or to whom.

Yes on both, came out good but definitely requires a little “custom” work to get it just right.

Drove from Austin to Jackson, TN. Tomorrow morning, off to Jefferson City to get my dual battery install at Overland Power Solutions. Stoked!!!

since you have 2.

is it true what i have read that with two rotos stacked like that, the lock only locks the outside one?
that you could force spin the outside fuel tank and it would unscrew from the first pack and then they both come off?

That’s true! I run a small cable lock through the handles and my bumper that would keep them from spinning and just be a minor PITA. I have the jerry can holder and would prefer them but already owned the Rotopax so figured I would just use them for now.
