I like the idea as an alternative to Sumo and the Rav but $80 per side plus shipping...

edit - 10% off on line, that helps alittle, watched the review video on the taco, looks intersting, I like that they can rotate, the SUMO are fixed I think.

Brought home my wife’s SR5 Prem. Had it tinted, 17% all windows, 55% windshield. And installed Toyota Predator Pro Running boards. I am jealous of her CarPlay!

Yeah. Had the same thing done on my tundra and it’s crazy how much it cuts down on heat in the vehicle. Cost to get the windshield done is more than the entire vehicle though. .

I grew up as a huge Bobby Orr fan and my uncle had a cabin out near where he grew up.

Yeah. Had the same thing done on my tundra and it’s crazy how much it cuts down on heat in the vehicle. Cost to get the windshield done is more than the entire vehicle though. .

The ceramic coating makes a huge difference and the windshield is the key. The problem is not only the cost, but, the 4Runner is susceptible to cracked windshields and that will be expensive to redo again.

4Runner windshield got NOTHING on FJ's had a 2008 & 2012 both for about 4 years ownership, I believe I went through 4 total in the 8 years!!

It's illegal to tint the windshield in some States. I'm guessing the shop would tell you that or just refuse to do it though.

Finished up getting the 32” slides bolted to the floor. Still have some sewing to do on the canvas back then start on building the frame for the drawer.

Looks nice. Do you mind sharing how the slides are mounted? Did you use angle iron to mount the slides to the cargo? Did you have to drill through metal cargo floor?

I did a mall crawler photo shoot and got some funny looks from the lawn guy.

And ordered spacers. Time to lift a bit and eventually get some beefier tires.

I added some Spidertrax spacers. Looks better and I only had some minor rubbing on drivers side front bumper in reverse at full lock which I almost never do. I might trim a little but not a big deal right now.

Yes I did use angle iron to mount the slides but used the factory slide holes that are in the floor. I had to redneck a bracket to relocate the front holes so that I could use the 3” angle. I used 2x4 blocks in the rear and a cut piece if 1x6 in the front to keep the angle level with the floor once I put the carpet back in. I believe there are other posts on this mod so I didn’t want to beat a dead horse with too much detail.
