Oil change this weekend reminded me how much I hate putting on my skid plate with the diff drop, so I took it out for sh*ts and giggles. I didnt think there would be that much of a difference. It looks like half an inch of "drop" on the CVs. Which is pretty significant IMO. Im lifted around 3.75" - 4" in the front. King extended with #700 springs.

I bought it in 1998 and did a frame off restomod on it. I bought it from the father of my son's friend. I had wanted a Willys for a long time and this guy wanted it get rid of it so I got a good buy on it. It took about 3 years to get it running pretty well and I took it upstate to some hunting land I had and I drove it around there some but it just sat in the woods for around 15 years. Shame on me, I know. I sold the land, brought the Willys home and it didn't take a lot to get it up and running again. My son helped with the wiring and other stuff and he probably loves it more than I ever did! Now that he has a place in NC to work on it and store it safely it was time for him to take it over. It doesn't need much but I know he will do the right thing by it, he's a really good and skilled mechanic. He certainly deserves to take it over.

Not necessarily what was done "today"...however, this is what I did before I came back out to work.
Relocated the USB/AUX to the glove box so I could leave my 0.5 terabyte HD hooked up out of the way and out of sight...
installed a Redarc trailer brake controller...
Installed on board air and rearranged my switches...
Installed dual USB charging ports in the factory USB location...
and relocated my breathers (all of them) to high up on the driver's side inner fender...
When I get back home in just over a week, I should have my ICS Fab dash mount, RAM mount for my phone, and Anytime Camera front/rear kit waiting to be installed. Probably going to order and have some SDHQ ABS sensor guards as well (I drive a lot of gravel roads).

Yup, fronts are IMS mono, rears are twintubes. Super excited to see how she sits tomorrow. I’ve had the TRD Pro suspension for about 2 years now so I’m real excited to see how it rides.

I recently replaced the shocks and struts on 2014 SR5. I went with the KYB's below because they were advertised as OE recommended replacements. My intention was to keep the factory rake, but now it is level or possible higher in the front: how is the best way to check? I was thinking by putting a level on the running boards, but I've had a tough time finding level ground. Is there a better way?

Best to measure from the center of the hub on the wheel to the fender. Then compare to what others are getting at stock. It could also just be the coils taking time to settle in (500 or so miles)

I went with the 701’s for now. The only reason I went with the IMS in the front was the larger diameter shock body and the ability to raise the front back up once I add a winch in the front. I figured it could be another year plus before I add that weight and really didn’t want to change suspension when the time came ha
