Picked this up today. Was surprised at how stout it seems. It's actually kinda heavy. Going off this post for the idea. I'm somewhat concerned it'll break the plastic trim piece though. Hopefully [MENTION=112895]balistikboy[/MENTION] can provide an update on how the trim is holding up.

I shuddered a little when i saw that mount through the plastic, I bet it you backed it with a piece of sheet metal or aluminum stock it would be fine.
EDIT: Oh I see he did back it out. Looks like it would be more than adequate.

Grabbed my Avalanche shovel out of the back of my truck to dig out a neighbor (7inches of new snow) rear wheel drive on a slight incline and she got it sideways. Second time in the last few weeks I used that shovel to dig out someone, the ironic part is her 4Runner was parked in her garage.

[MENTION=97032]hearno[/MENTION], my mount is holding up great! It doesn't move at all when I'm driving. I would definitely back it with something though. I used a spare steel bracket I bent to back the mount with. I love these mounts!

Definitely a WTF moment...that sucks!!!
Had mine on Monday...I got rear-ended and the guy that hit me took off and I couldn't catch him through traffic!!! Thankful for the CBI bumper - no issues except for some scratched powder coat. I did see the front end of the honda that hit me before the guy ran (I got out of the truck and then he ran) - the bumper did a good number on it. Hope the police catch the f*#%$*!

What a great road trip vehicle! All day yesterday at ~78 mph and 18-19 mpg, all day today (including the Smokey Mtns and a 45 min traffic jam) at ~72-75 mph and 20 mpg.
Visibility, room, power, road presence, love it.

Caught a fast ball from a tractor trailer and busted my windshield. Literally, a baseball that was kicked up by a tractor's tires. :wtf:
