Finally got to get out for a mountain bike ride after two months.... Crashed in Nov. and messed up my hand. Still not 100% but with the weather i just had to ride!

Nice Ventana! I used to have a Terrremoto in Grinch Green. Loved that bike.

I picked up my 4Runner today in Bremerhaven, Germany and drove about 7 hours to just south of Brussels, Belgium. Good first day as an owner of a T4R!

I woke up a few times in the night and turned on my ignition to see the temperature read in the 18-20 degree range. It was a long night!

As far as navigation it wasn't too bad. Some soft sand as you can see in the photo which could be problematic at times. There's a million 4x4 trails that are basically empty out there, which lends itself nicely to unlimited exploration!

FINALLY got them installed after sitting in my garage since black Friday. Although I actually feel a little ripped off that is wasn't more of a challenge. I'd say the hardest part was getting the bushings seated in the housing.

First Recovery

Today I had the pleasure to conduct my first recovery. What makes this completely mind blowing is that instead of digging and shoveling for the recovery prep... we had to chip and chisel! Yes that's right, chisel! So my co-worker went out of town for the weekend and when he got back, there was a water leak or drainage problem (city still investigating) and ice had built up to the edge of the rim. Two days later (Today) the ice built up even more! About 7 inches from ground level! The front passenger side rocker panel was actually touching..!

So after chipping and chiseling for 2 hours with a hammy and screwdriver we had all the ice removed from the back and side of the wheels. Unfortunately the Mitsubishi didn't even have enough power to even break free from the ice and spin the wheels! So I hooked up and pulled him out.

Only in Canada!
