What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Packed it up, departing tomorrow for the east coast. Was easily able to get it all inside to avoid loading the roof rack.

I know it sounds snobbish, but this is the exact reason why I change the fluids in my vehicles myself. I hate taking the time to do it, but every time I let someone else do it, there seems to be some sort of problem.

I have 4300K HIDs on both low beams and fogs. I went w/ a blueish tint DRL.

Sorry, I should have clarified my original question. I meant did you put the HID bulbs into the stock projector housings/fog lights, or did you pull the lights apart and put in HID projectors. If you used stock housings, how's the cutoff?

I know it sounds snobbish, but this is the exact reason why I change the fluids in my vehicles myself. I hate taking the time to do it, but every time I let someone else do it, there seems to be some sort of problem.

I don't want to turn it into the pissing contest but this is exactly my experience with Toyota Service I used to use. There was no single oil change in my Tacoma without "mishap" on their side listed just few: forgot to put back few bolts in skid plate, stripped bolts in skid plate, leaking oil plug, stripped oil plug. I actually made them to replace the oil pan on their dime after their stripped the plug's thread beyond repair (quoted 900 dollars job).

Then one day I said "Enough is enough" and I started to get my hands dirty. Since then I only visit their parts department. The main problem I see is that their "drive through oil change" is handled by "minimum wage teenagers" who don't give a $#!+ if they do oil change in a car or changing oil in a fryer.

Actually I found that Mazda/Nissan service (in the same Automall) is way better and professional in that matter - there are real car mechanics doing everything there (even car washing after the job). No fooling around customer's property.

Dipped the stock roof rails. Proceeded to break two tabs on the last cap I took off, followed by a lot of swearing. Taped it down with electrical tape for the time being until it flies off at which point ill get a new one.

Also, being the only lifted 5th gen in town makes me proud of my 4runner. That said, I saw another lifted one today. I started to wave and mid wave noticed it was lifted with these really awful, gaudy, huge chrome wheels. Buddy just looked at me like an idiot and kept driving. F*ck that guy.

That exhaust sounds sick! I went with a Toytec 3" setup but mine didnt come with the KDSS

Thank you, it's an armytrix valvatronic exhaust system. The video I was opening and closing the valves with the remote control. But that Datsun tho. Man I wish I lived near your wow that's nice. One day I want to restore an old 280Z.
