Grey Jays, otherwise known as "Camp Robbers" start getting really friendly as the weather cools in the mountains. I was feeding them trail mix and had about 20 fighting for nuts out of my hand. I tried to upload a video but the server won't let me.

So my co pilot took this photo as I was trying out the Crawl Control on is slowest (3km/hr) setting, if you have never tried yours yet it sounds like a Rube Goldberg device going off under your hood but is cool. You can see my first attempt divots in the hill. My passenger then got back in and I tried turning off Crawl Control, activating the electric rear locker and using speed and made it right up the hill, this thing can climb and gets crazy traction with multiple ways to do it! Oh what a feeling!

I continued to use my 4Runner for grunt work- pulling trees out of a drive-able trail I've been blazing in my back woods for the past 6 months. I've been using it to log on my property so we can burn wood, and so far since October have not used any oil in our house (yes, it's been in the teens many times already and snow has flown). Who knew the 4Runner would make a capable logging truck?!

So essentially, a byproduct of all this is that I now have my own off-road track in my backyard :cheers:

Did my first oil change in my 2016 TE this morning at just under 5k miles. Installed a Fumoto valve and my RCI aluminum skid while I was under it.

I gave it a quick 15 minute bath with Optimum No Rinse. That stuff is awesome!

Had a few scrapey sounding noises from undernieth - pulled out lots of brush from suspension, spare tire, skid plates, etc..... Noises all gone.

Bought a new set of wheels and tires AE 012 wheels with toyo a/t 285/70/17

Heres a comparison to a 265/70/17 cooper m/t tires
