For my needs aluminum will be fine. Also it shouldn't affect the front ends weight and supension setup. Doing it in January.

Setup an IP68 LED light strip today for some under awning light. This is switched to run off of my Goalzero yeti 400.

Took advantage of discounts out there... RCI, CBI, Total Chaos, and tacked on an order from Wheelers just because they rock. Also ordered some steel plate to cut for some stuff and some camping stuff on sale. Now I'll need someone to help install all this stuff in January!

The problem with Snowwheeling by your self is the need for much greater caution when you are deep in the back country, my better half was the voice of reason this day. Had some new tires put on this Saturday. BFG K02 265/70/17 C Load. I immediately noticed how much better the truck handles. The brake dive is nearly gone now and it feels significantly more stable. I can't wait to get some dirt on these. Aired up to 40 PSI currently.

Not really what I did except I drove by a CalTrans worker who was working by himself! Now, how are all of those shovels going to stand up if there aren't the seven extra people just there to stand around and watch him.
I'm really disappointed that the state is not wasting those extra several thousands of dollars per minute and I will be writing my republican whore when I get home. This has got to stop.

Returned from the Tennessee mountain retreat (my folks house), again without using any interstate. Virginia & Kentucky were interesting driving up into the clouds and coming back down. Spotted a half dozen 4Runners, mostly 4th & 5th gens this time, nobody waved back.
