What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Well... I was upside down on the crapolla I turned in, so not including that negative equity... about $29k... It has 38k miles. SR5 with a moonroof, leather, heated seats (so needed in AZ), backup camera in the mirror, junk factory stereo, too much chrome... I'm so excited!

I've missed my 02 4runner since the day I traded it in. It needed a ton of work, but I should have just done it. I'll learn to like this one more, I'm sure.

Im sure you will enjoy it, i got the same t4r 2013 SR5, from the day i got it i just kept upgrading. Lol

Combined three of my favorite hobbies. Drove the 4runner to a nice dirty spot to drive my new RC kit and then took a couple pics with my camera. Nice way to end the year. I took a before and after pic of my RC's maiden drive (bashing) after getting it dialed in in my front yard.

Nice ride! Did you have the roof rails wrapped all around or just part of it? I'm wondering if the crossbars would scrape off the vinyl wrap when you adjust them. Thanks

They only wrapped the bars as the end caps were black from the factory. I moved the crossbars while washing yesterday and it did not effect the vinyl at all. Even if it did, it would be inside the tracks and would be hard to spot from the ground. Hope this helps.

As for me, it was a long day of work but since the past week of me finally owning one it was all worth it being able to enjoy the drive back and forth around town. Maybe this weekend might take it up north to the ski slopes (hopefully).

Plasti dipped center console and swapped out tail lights to newer style. I always hated all that red back there.

A quick recap of the last few "todays":

Went to Tahoe, the 4Runner was great! Never had to use 4WD, even with snow on the ground. It was like velcro, even when I was by myself on a side road trying to goose it around to get used to it's limitations, it still held well. It did get a bit dirty though :becky:

My family and i got to live another day

Not today but on the rainy dark Christmas day, as i was driving a steady 62 m/h on Maryland's 13 heading east to celebrate christmas with the rest of my family, some idiot decided to cross the highway with no lights on unexpectedly within a few feet of my arrival. I hit the brakes and braced for impact. :driving:My wife who didn't know what was going on then, was pulled back in her seat by the seat belt. The kids didn't notice anything had happened.
I have to say Thank God for the good tires and brakes, and ABS and toyota engineers and the truck. The truck did its job and no one was harmed, worked as rarely advertised.
The idiot got ahead.

Cleaned up some wiring I did a while ago. Looks a lot better now, but there are a few things I can still tighten up.

I'm about 3 days away from pulling the trigger on the Stealth, but haven't seen one of these up close yet.

vinyl wrapped roof rails

Started off 2016 with giving the 4runner a much needed bath, and also wrapped the roof rails with 3M vinyl wrap. Came out pretty clean! Much better than painting them.
