Aired up a friends 3rd gen tire using my on-board compressor. Love that mod!

First Service at 5K
This was my first service – 5,000 miles for my new 4Runner.
The service included tire rotation. I had a set of wheel locks to install after I was home. I removed one nut from each wheel and installed the locks. I set the torque to 82 ft. lbs. using a newly calibrated torque wrench – click type. I decided to check the other wheel nuts. Most were ok and my wrench clicked with no additional turning.
2 bolts on 2 wheels and 1 on another wheel were too loose. It took from ¼ to ½ turn to tighten them to 82. I think the tire guy needs to be more careful and check all 6 on each wheel.
The dealer send me a thank you message for the service, I sent him the above message.

Drove to Arapahoe Basin to get my last day of boarding in for the year (work sucks...) and got my first compliment from a FJ owner that parked next to me. :rockon:
Then came home and washed/vacuumed and installed the weathertech mats. The fit was much better than i expected.

Converted a "Bass Reflex" sub into an "Infinite Baffle"!
G'day folks,
Here's something that I finished today I'm very happy about.
This is a Brand New sub that I purchased a couple of months ago. The cab is made by "Audio Enhancers" and is a driver specific enclosure; not a generic speaker box that could be bought at any Pepboys auto parts store.
It was designed to be used with "JL Audio's" 10W6v2-D4 drivers. But being a "Ported" design, I was having some problems with a loud, but Boomy sounding (uncontrolled resonance) bass, which was unflattering to the ear, and some what, unintelligible in the lowest register.
I decided that a "Sealed" enclosure would be a better choice for this suv. This will eliminate the boominess, and the resonant peaks that are characteristic of "Bass Reflex" cabinet design.
I went to Home Depot last Sunday and picked up two, 11-1/2 X 1-1/2 X 3/4" pieces of plywood to use as inserts to block off the two "Duct ports", seen on either side of the cab.
I used a can of light gray spray paint (no dark gray available) just to help camouflage the block-offs. Then I drove them into the mouth of both ports. I put a bead of clear silicone sealer (caulking) around the seams, to prevent any air leaks.
Next I removed both drivers from their baffles and "stuffed" both rear (partitioned) chambers with "Polyester fiber" batting material to absorb any standing waves, and to slow down the resonant back wave, making the drivers behave as if they were in a much larger enclosure for the "Lowest" bass possible.
I tested the sub and...Unbelievable!!! I knew that it would be better, I just didn't think that it would be "THAT MUCH BETTER...WOW!!!"

Finally got some time to work on Satoshi grill and installed light bar bracket that i got on the first run when SocalTrail (Shawn) did them.
Looks very very nice, I am still waiting on mine
I ordered it on the 2nd. Got my TOYOTA emblem though!!!!!

Thank you. It actually looks better from far then closer, it is very unique when cutting the aluminum mesh, I messed it up on edges a little and had to get a door trim to put around to make it look straight and even. Also I painted the radiator black to make it look better.

Finished up the skids by getting the gas tank skid on. Dang that thing is a pain, well at least the rear inside bolt that you have to thread the tank strap through. Now I am very protected and confident.
