What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

- Changed the oil, only to find the index tab missing from the filter cover.
- Modified the gas tank skid at the drive line flange would rub on the support / bolt. Required some cutting and welding.
- Installed lower link armor and welded in place. Greased all the link fittings since I was there.
- Installed studs for front skid plate mounting as the factory welded nut inside the frame popped loose. (See build for further clarification on this).
That was enough for two days.

That looks good. I don't think I have ever come across a pic of someone dipping their trail rims to mag grey.

So i just purchased a 2016 4runner sr5, and i've already done some small cosmetic mods to it.
-debadged it (sr5 badges)
-added runningboards (trail stye oem)
-added tints to the front 2 windows (20% to match the back)
-HID 6000k lowbeam bulbs H11
-Fog light yellow tints (i tried switching bulbs to 6000k white, but they did not fit, i ordered h16 wich is what the manual says however, the fitting looks more like an h11).
-Husky floor
Very nice, did you plasti dip the bumper or vinyl?

remove my hybrid bumper in preparation for my winch install this weekend!!!
also filed/cleaned/removed out some of the linex from the padeye holes so a shackle would fit without issue. Then prepped the now bare metal for paint.
now i really need to get a mounting plate madeup for my Trail Toys NSA box so i can wire the winch controls (except for the clutch of course) to the NSA box and control it remotely!!!
oh and i slapped on my shrockworks fairlead finally! and plastidipped the bolt heads black to match!

Got it clean, got it dirty
Spent Sunday morning doing my spring detailing inside and out. Wash, Clay bar, wax, tires, wheels, vacuum, windows, the whole enchilada. Then on Monday I decided to see how the Salmonfly hatch was progressing on the Deschutes...which meant it got a little dusty.
Good time to check for rattles and squeeks in the new cooler/stove/sleeping set up and test the new Icon suspension. 88 degrees and a beautiful sunny day.
The bugs are hatching pretty well around Maupin and I even managed to fool a few fish. These are Golden Stones...
The river looks beautiful right now with everything greened up for spring. Soon it will be a million shades of brown.

Used some bed liner on the cargo area interior panels. They look like new. We'll see what kind of protection it offers.
