What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Not today, but last week, did 1,800km / 1,100 miles in 6 days, biking the Kettle Valley Railway Trestles, then south to Yakima, then home. An excellent road trip in the 4Runner, the second trip in less than two months of ownership.

Picture is one of the KVR Trestles ( don't get to drive on it, just biking/running/etc. ).

I desperately need to wash under my gobi rack.

Why?

I just wash the rack with extra soapy water and whatever drips through is good. It's not like I can even see up there.

Just washed under my G with the cheesy harbor freight extendo wash pad, worked great, just watch the supports with the pivot on the scrubby!

Finished my ARB onboard air install

Installed rear diff breather and relocated the other breathers a little higher

Also discovered how badly I need to install the gas tank skid that's been sitting in the garage for two months

I desperately need to wash under my gobi rack.

I used a wash mitt + swiffer to wash under the rack before, was just the right size to fit between the supports. Was tired of rinsing under there all the time so I just vinyled the roof.

Was lucky enough to slide an Imogene Pass run in less than 12 hours before they closed it for the season. At the top, i was getting pelted by quarter inch hail the entire time. was most deff super scary.

Did a brake fluid flush, new front rotors and pads, new Stop Tech braided brake lines all around. No pics but it feels great, my front rotors were shot!

Do you know what all they keep open until end of October?? Im going up there for post deployment leave was hoping to do at least some trails.

We do. I haven't been able to hit them in my truck yet, only ATV's. But I plan on bringing the truck out to one of them next year.

I've see a lot of jeepers out there when I'm on the ATV.

How do you like the ceramic ?

Specifically Uber or just a ceramic coating in general? I've personally only used Uber on my truck/cars but I've helped friends coat their trucks/cars with other brands. They're all the same to me IMHO. That being said, the ceramic coating does make your panels much more slick in general, like a fresh coat of wax, but lasts a helluva lot longer. Dirt doesn't really stick and rinses off very easily.
I think it's definitely a worthy investment for DIYers. Detailing guys around me charge roughly about $1K-$1.2K to do it and, to me, not worth it, especially since I know how to do all this stuff (clay/paint correction/etc). If you/anyone plans on doing it, be sure to do it in the shade or else it just flashes.
