What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I picked up my 2016 Super White TEP on Friday night. Over the weekend, I installed five Level 8 MK6 wheels and Cooper A/T3 275 tires.

I put a deposit down on this and it was fresh off the hauler. The dealer followed my request to not do any cleaning in the prep.
After the wheels were on, I washed, then clay barred the entire vehicle. Next, came the Klasse All-in-One cleaner and polish,
finished off with two applications of Klasse High-Gloss Sealant Glaze.

At the dealership for the PDI:

Got back from Colorado yesterday. spent a few days roaming around the trails and can't wait to go back!! (anyone hiring over there? lol)

Pretty certain it was your 4runner I was checking out in Silverton. Shrockworks front and rear? It was nice to finally see the bumpers in person. FWIW I like the rear but couldn't get on board with the front and certainly don't use it in the capacity to need it. Very nice looking 4runner

Happy birthday to my 4Runner. 4 years ago today it was born/assembled as a 2013 at Toyota's facility in Tahara, Aichi, Japan.

Still enjoying it and glad I adopted it. No problems in 4 yrs & 45K miles.

Thank You T4RZAN! The tires are 285/75/17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s with a Toytec lift and Bilstein 5100s. I had to remove the Spidertaxx 1.5 inch spacer due to rubbing. Without the spacers, the tries still stick out a little bit for a more aggressive look that I like. Right now there is no rubbing even at full turn cranking the steering wheel all the way. Other than that, no chopping was required.

Had a Compustar Pro T11 installed for a remote start, very clean install, the only way to know is the new key fob and the small antenna next to the rear view mirror.
They wired it to activate the window defroster when the temp gets below 32 deg, will have to wait a while to test that feature.

However, I'm having issues with it, about 75% of the time when trying to remote start it activates the panic alarm as well ?!?!! Any ideas? Will be calling the installer tomorrow but they're an hour away so a simple fix would be nice!

I put an opti coat on my roof & then I waxed on top of that. Why? Because I got a large delivery today & I want the roof super easy to clean underneath the GOBI (as pictured). I'm super happy with the performance and water beading of opti coat & adding Adams wax on top of it will make it that much easier to keep clean.


FYI - ordered this 5/31 and it was delivered today 9/12 and it was technically a "custom" build with no rise in the front.

what is your high/ low/ fog setup? looks good.

Lows are Xenondepot 5000k , highs are stock and fogs are Laminx with stock bulbs

Which offset in level 8 rims did you get? 0 or -12? Any rubbing with the 275 tires?

Yeah, I'll get on the phone with them today, they are very well reputed locally so it's not a concern just inconvenient.

I did ask them to do the windshield as part of the install but again I'll have to wait for low temps to see if that works OK. Does yours activate only with low enough temperatures? I was kinda impressed that was even a possibility.
