since i don't have a separate fuse box, can i tap into one of the open fuses? I want to add at probably 2 of these, one in the back and one for the back passengers. Should I add a separate fuse as a precaution?

I don't see why you couldn't use an open slot...I happen to have a 6 circuit Bluesea fuse panel installed. That way I know what size wiring runs to where.

I would run a separate fuse...the line it's attached to has a 20 amp fuse on it, but when I tapped the wire in I added a 5 amp...just to protect any sensitive stuff. I just put one of the in-line blade fuse type jammi's in there.

I put my Gobi rack on yesterday! Looks great, high quality.

I was very frustrated by the fact that some (idiot?) at Gobi placed "DRIVER SIDE" and "PASSENGER SIDE" stickers on the wrong front supports. After having a terrible time trying to get the pieces in place, and already taking the adhesive off the one that kind-of fit, I then saw the "D" and "P" markings in the metal and realized a Gobi employee ****ed up and swapped the stickers. My recommendation to Gobi: don't put stickers on them if you're going to imprint the metal anyway, just so some moron can screw it up and confuse your customers.

Been getting out on my bike pretty regularly by myself (Significant other is recovering from a knee injury) and have been tired of loading a 4 bike swing way hitch mounted rack for one bike. Had a Yakima Forklift laying around from my days of owning Mini, so I slid the crossbars off to the driver side, recentered the roof basket, and added it. The reach is a little high for most people but fortunately my bike is about 16.5lbs so it's not too bad throwing it up there and the locking fork clamp is much more secure than the dinky cable that locked the bike to the hitch rack.

For the road bike nerds out there the bike is a 2009 Felt AR1 Garmin/Slipstream team issue with full DuraAce, upgraded Bontrager XXX carbon stem, and Easton EA70 rims with Conti 4000 Gatorskin tires that I use as beater training wheels. The bike came with matching Zipp 404 tubular wheels but don't care to break a $3,000 wheelset on a weekend ride (especially since I regularly seem to find construction zones on my new routes), bike weights 15.5lbs with the Zipps, size is 56cm.

Looks good, like that Felt. I have a 2 bike Kuat that I use on mine (carry around the Cervelo S2 with). Need to look at other options as well to carry one or two bikes roof mounted as well.

took the wife and 2 dogs on a trip to find blue bonnets...however, mother nature decided that right as we're getting close the storm clouds were gonna roll in. Then by the time we finally find a place and I'm saying "okay, if we're fast, and face the right direction I can still get some blue sky in. But everyone has to cooperate"....and bam rain drops on the windsheild...so we just kept driving Felt bad for the wife, she really wanted pics, and I had loaded my camera gear in the truck etc.

somehow tho, she was magically convinced that if we are going to go anywhere this Summer that we need to go ahead and get me a roof rack and get it installed. Sounds like a blank check to buy a mod to me

First, a quick run up to Animas Forks. Or so I thought. A little snow slide stopped me just outside of Eureka - and I was too lazy to shovel.

Imogene Pass, just outside of Ouray, was no better. Although the road (it's a road here anyway) was open but the gate was locked.

I'm really happy with how the glass came out (rough cut with Dremel and then sand) to get the inverted ramp.

I started a TE, but I need some new black fenders.

Thanks man, I got it the final year before the team switched to Cervelo bikes, I was disappointed but they also stopped putting the blue and orange argyle on the bikes so I was happy I got this one (and of course the full kit to match). I also have a 2008 Felt B2 triathlon bike and a Scott Sportster 55 that I use for commuting. Fiance has two of her own, so needless to say one room of our townhouse looks like a trophy room of bicycles.
