Easter weekend - went to Arizona and California desert. Did 2 runs in AZ, they were good, but after 3 miles of the Mojave Road on the way to Ft. Piute, I decided it was too rough to be out there alone and with stock tires. The photo is in my rear view mirror as I was leaving.

Thanks man, I got it the final year before the team switched to Cervelo bikes, I was disappointed but they also stopped putting the blue and orange argyle on the bikes so I was happy I got this one (and of course the full kit to match). I also have a 2008 Felt B2 triathlon bike and a Scott Sportster 55 that I use for commuting. Fiance has two of her own, so needless to say one room of our townhouse looks like a trophy room of bicycles.

Actually, it was pouring rain out. I called Toyota Care and let them send out Roadside Assistance--and they changed my tire.

At work today I got a screw in the tread. Tried a can of fix-a-flat before calling Toyota Care, but not dice. Ahh well.

Don't do that, that stuff is worthless, and makes changing the tire afterwards a real PITA. Get a rope type plug kit from a local auto parts store.

Went to visit my sister up north in Grande Prairie, Alberta this weekend. I took the back way down the forestry trunk road back home on Sunday, and turned a 4 1/2 hour drive into a 9 hour photography tour. Snapped a few glamour shots of the 'Runner while I was at it - this one is my favorite:

You are gonna love the Gen4 17. I carry one every day and have had NO problems at all with it. Do yourself a favor though and pick up a set of rubberized grips from TalonGrips-- they made a huge difference in grip comfort for me.

Went to an offroad park...messed around for an hour or two...really just wanted an excuse for a really long road trip. Learned a few things that I'll make a thread for later.

Went for a little attitude change today. Im really not a rim guy... never have been. Though having now done 82,000+ miles on my stock TE rim's it was time for a change. I outsourced x4 17" steelies from Craigslist and eBay and here is the end result.

My intention was to spend as little as possible which I achieved by spending $187 including the mounting price. This is not everybody's cup of tea, but I'm thrilled with the outcome and can't stop looking at it and all different angles and stances!

I saw they were siped for studs...if I lived up north I'd rock them.
