What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Today, I celebrated 1 yr of being the proud owner of my very first, 5th generation 4Runner "limited"! A year ago today, after saving up some $$,$$$-and when the time was right (Wed 4/18/12), I went to a local dealership and ordered the truck that I "couldn't live with-out".

Because of the "Blizzard Pearl" color, it was considered a special order; not in stock, so it would need to be located and delivered. It was ordered that Wed night, and ready to be driven home on Sat the 21st...needless to say, I couldn't sleep at all those 3 nights.

It's been a great truck and has caused me NO GRIEF what so ever! Here's a shot of the odometer, as taken today 4/18/13*****Cheers

Don't drive too much I see lol..I hit that in the first 3 months..to each their own though. Do you have a second ride?

Lol!! Yes, I use another vehical to cover air conditioning service calls (:driving:), so the 4Runner can sit there for 3-4 days/wk.

Added JL C2-690 to the front doors.... amazing improvement..

I had some 6x9 Bostons that I moved from an FJ that I traded in for my 4R 2 yrs ago... The swap was really easy, but I was glad that I had the Tacotunes speaker brackets -- the JLs have a huge magnet -- without the thick bracket I think the speaker might have created an issue with the window.
 
Cleaned up my sons vomit off of him....and from the back seat.... and the cargo area....and the bumper...and the street....and my neighbors sidewalk....
Here's to not getting leather! :dammit:

But the TE seats did pretty well...only time and the oncoming summer heat will tell me for sure!

Sounds like it justifies a Katzkin Leather modification :peep:
 
Washed it for the first time myself. Took some time to get the "CA winter grime off." Definitely a longer wash time than I'm used to compared to my old 3rd. gen.

They're old usb extension cords that I chopped up and placed flush with the factory switch blanks. I going to do it again but like you said a with a higher amp USB port. I also want to find a factory USB switch blank to tap into as my not so straight dremel work, is bothering me greatly. Do you know of any?

I wish! Right now, I have the cigarette adapter that does both. I have to get that cigarette plug to be always on, now that I have a dual battery system.
 
I installed a front bumper camera to gauge clearance. I installed a separate 3.5" monitor on a switch, and everything works perfect except...

I didn't read the specs on the camera close enough when I bought it, and it's a reversed image (for a backup camera). Luckily it was a $25 camera, and a barrel plug connection, so I can easily replace it with a new camera. :thumb3:
 
Well I had some free time, some cold beer, and a bunch of Di-Noc lying around...
My wife wouldn't let me di-noc her so did some other stuff.
