Went out for breakfast with the family. Came back to the truck and had a very high door dent on rear driver door (5 inches under the window)
Took a deep breath and went on.

Went to Home Depot. Came back to the truck and had a 2 foot rub mark on the driver side wheel well all the way to the bottom of my headlight.
Needless to say I EXPLODED. Lucky for other shoppers, nobody was around me at the time I came back. Otherwise, who knew what would have happened.....:whipping2

Took the family out to Kodachrome trail by Lake Mead to look for fossils. The trail was significantly overhauled from the last time I was out there 5 years ago - washboard. There was even a Miata out there...

I installed a front bumper camera to gauge clearance. I installed a separate 3.5" monitor on a switch, and everything works perfect except...

I didn't read the specs on the camera close enough when I bought it, and it's a reversed image (for a backup camera). Luckily it was a $25 camera, and a barrel plug connection, so I can easily replace it with a new camera. :thumb3:

Got the new camera today, and everything works a-okay!

Hauling my new/used kayak home!

Installing my rack setup using the factory crossbars. (Yakima saddles, hulley rollers, and universal mighty mounts) Also notice the custom loader I designed to assist loading the kayak without damaging the rear spoiler.

Finally, the kayak is mounted and ready for its first outing. Once tested, I will finish setting it up for freshwater fishing.

the dip is done. 4 coats on the chrome, and 9 or 10 coats (I think, I lost count because the fumes made me a little dizzy) on the hood.
the badges look great, but I might have to redo the "4 RUNNER" on the lift gate, as the plastidip lifted a little on the edges of two letters when I went to peel off the voids. the hood isn't as dramatic as I would have hoped, but I'm under 6 1500 watt metal halide high bay fixtures in the shop right now, and the texture of the 'dip is mimicking the metallic in the paint a bit. SO I'll reserve final judgement until I can see it in the light of day.
all and all, very easy.
