Allegrippis Trails

Got in 3rd consecutive day of great trail riding at Allegrippis. Today was particularly good as my brother joined for a 10 mile loop. Great trails...way to go Raystown MTB Club, Army Corp of Engineers and IMBA. Great place to stay - Allegrippis Lodge. Good food and drink at Boxer's and Mimi's in Huntington. Great to get in and out of there before the holiday.

First trip of any length in the Trail. About 550 miles including side trips. Pretty wind-blown.....major storm fronts travelling in both directions. Probably hurt mileage somewhat...in conjunction with the Cooper AT3s....but about 18 overall. With just wife, gear and bike....no cargo issues to report.

Finally...

I was FINALLY able to get my camper out of storage Friday. Towed it home to pop it up, and get it ready for camping season.

One of the main reasons we got the 4R was for towing the pup. I must say, the 4R barely noticed it back there. It sure tows it way better then the 4cyl Subaru Outback we were using! :driving:

Skids this afternoon after knocking off early.

Bimrunner- Check out my skids. I feel my T-Case skid is completely different from yours. I'm wondering if these are correct. I hadn't coated that specific skid yet because I just wasn't sure about it.

Nope. it is identical. hopefully before you painted you took the tcase one appart? It is packaged like that but they have to come apart to install. The one that goes over the exhaust is upside-down for shipping. Makes sense when you look at where it needs to go. You will want to have them apart and be warned: the directions mention the bolts that need to be removed to install the arms: there is only one and it is on driver's side not passenger side (holds a bracketed with fuel lines- you reattach with new bolt through the arm into frame). PM me other questions and I can help. Some of the stuff just makes more sense when you are under there working.

Hey, thanks a lot for the info. I have yet to coat the t-case skid. I didn't even realize it came apart but now that you say that I now understand. At first I was concerned with the design/if I had gotten a wrong skid by mistake. I may shoot you some questions when I get to the install.

Played in the woods with some good friends...one of whom has had an FJ for over 4 years and NEVER gone off road!!!:doh: Needless to say, we enjoyed the holiday weekend festivities and picnic with friends as well as getting the 4Runner and the FJ good and DIRTY!!!
