Today I plasti-dipped the lower lip of my 2014 runner.

Leveled the front C/O's (following the ARB bumper install) and moved the remote resi's to stay more out of the way of the UCA...

also made some custom lenses for the light bar...amber. They slide right in when needed. $7 + shipping... Just cut and did a little routing to fit.

Didn’t do anything to/in it today except admire it sitting in my garage and wonder how bad those stock wheels are going to clash with the full matte black 3M wrap it’s going to receive in two weeks.

Over the rainy weekend I bought a new basic 153 piece tool kit and did some tinkering. Removed my rusted center caps on the wheels which I found out were deteriorating from the back and cleaned and painted that center part of the hub on the rears. Has anyone experienced the front center hub cover ever popping out? Now that I don't have center caps to contain them if they ever did pop out, just curious if it has ever happened. I know it's in there pretty good and never had issues in the past. It was just a thought that popped into my head while playing around.

I thought this was your truck. I watched your video when you went to borrego and looked and the map you provided. Then stayed for the weekend there. Were you guys here for the weekend or for the day?

Freeway MOD Part II

I was so happy with the increased performance, looks & handling after the first freeway MOD I did about a couple weeks ago that I decided to get another chip on my windshield! Thankfully the repair is scheduled for this week. FML

I plasti-dipped my last bit of chrome. I used matte clear on the chrome strips on the bumpers and side skirts. It's more like brushed aluminum, I wasn't a huge fan of the strips painted black.

Very cool! We were at Kendall's, too. We likely were eating there at the same time. I had a party of 7.

I did camp out. Only this time, it was at Hills of the Moon. I recommend it as a site. Contrary to all the high wind warnings, it was ideal weather.

Maybe we can set up a Borrego meet and hit the south area.

You guys were the group that must have just came in while we were getting ready to leave. We were a party of 3 at the table right in front of the door when you first walk in wife,son,and myself. I was wearing a black icon baseball cap.

That would be cool to meet up sometime. This was our first time up there and we had a great time there.

On a 4runner related note I just had my lights, bumper and sliders shipped to Durango so I should get to install them in the next month or so.

Not really truck related but this thread gets a lot of traffic so I'll ask here,
I just booked a couple tickets to San Francisco 5/17-5-21 for the lady and I. Plans include renting a Ducati and cruising up the coast, checking out various recommended bars and such, and possibly cruising out to Napa Valley.
Any recommendations or things we shouldn't miss?

Getting it wrapped next week with 3M Wrap Film Series 1080 in matte black 1080-M12 (see color palette). I think 3M warrants the film for five years and the local "wrapper" who has won international wrap competitions said he'd do it for 2K.

If you cruise up to Napa I would say check out this Winery and take the tour.

Being you know very little about trim..(and less about trucks)....I'm willing to come down and put some crown molding up in that modular you live in,( you're almost like a son to me...just not very bright) because your wife is a great person..….
