Ran out of gas On the freeway

I was on my way to lunch on the 5 southbound Frwy and I was running really low on gas and didn't have my wallet on me. I had the truck on cruise control going speed limit and all of a sudden the dash lights went on and I started decreasing in speed and had no more power on the pedal

I had enough rolling speed to exit right away and luckily for me, there was a gas station right off the exit... I had to push the 4runner maybe 25ft into the gas station and had my girlfriend meet me to fill up my tank. I filled up half way and had to put a little throttle when starting it back up but all else was fine, didn't have any further problems.

It was a pretty scary experience, but with how things ended up, it could've been a lot worse

Finally got everything to get my sliders on and mounted. What an ordeal but they're in place. I still need to pick up some grade 8 hardware to replace the standard stuff that was included.

How flexible are these? I've been thinking about getting them for mine. Can't beat the price.

Pretty flexible, but they do have a slight memory to them. I can bend them back all the way until they touch the vehicle without much force, but they would be slightly bent that way afterwards. Easy enough, just bend them on the opposite direction to return to normal. They're like a really thin cutting board material. Probably 2mm thick.

Installed RCI Metalworks skid plates and Budbuilt rock sliders. Pretty smooth installation. It's a one banana job for this wrench monkey.

They attach with the factory inner fender screws. Had them on one of my other vehicles before. Install is simple, but getting them to match side to side can be rough (no great reference points).

Yes, these are the Rally Armor Universal Basic Plus flaps. I used most of the same mounting points as described in the factory 2011 mud flap install pdf. In the front I drilled one extra hole (per side) for a little more stability. I used some factory hardware and push-clips and other hardware was new. I went to Advanced Auto and purchased some short and long #10 speed clips and screws (or u-clips or whatever you call them) which are what also come in the factory kit. After that I took a piece of paper and poked a pen through the various holes that I was going to re-use and made a template. Then I aligned the flap, leveled it, and transferred and taped the paper template on to the flap so I could drill my holes. After all was mounted I took them off and trimmed what I didn't need from the flap. Then I took the drilled and trimmed flap and used as a template and mirrored it on to the other sides flap. The right side took 2min to install after all the work on the left.

I'll take some pics of the mounting soon and try and do a how-to.
