Did a little bit of off-roading and camping this weekend. Nothing serious but it was a hell of a time.

we ventured up toward Nederland last week to test out my lights on the Switzerland trail. I've never been out there so I was route finding in the dark and ended up on Pennsylvania Gulch. That got a little interesting.

It's Forsythe Canyon just past Boulder about 20 minutes. Once you get to the parking lot, blow past that and there is a few miles worth of trails but about 27 campsites first come first serve with awesome lake views.

Gotcha - I got the springs in "medium" which might be why I needed the 3" bump stops? Anyway, good luck with the install thanks for the info!

I don't thin that would be the case. Call Metal Tech to confirm or I may have gotten the information wrong somewhere, but I'm pretty sure I have the 2".

Drove 2.5 hours across the Cascades to Yakima for a bit of sunshine and relaxing. Its usually 10-20 degrees warmer than Seattle there, totally different climate on the other side of the mountains. Hit up Bale Breaker Brewery and Kim's Got Smoke BBQ. Stellar Ribs and the delicious Top Cutter IPA.

Also in Yakima, the best tamales I've ever had at Los Hernandez! Hand made fresh daily with seasonal ingredients. At the bottom is fresh asparagus and cheese, on the top is chicken.

drl piaa bulbs burned out (after 3 yrs) as I was taking it out..it cracked and pieces fell inside the housing. Ah crap.. today I learned how to take the drl fog housing apart..

Antman cupholder mod—finally! had the cupholders sitting in my garage for months but kept forgetting to buy a 2.5" hole saw. used a drafting compass to etch "final" diameter of hole in bumper plastic and Dremeled outward from drilled cutout, as per Antman's excellent write-up.

sphincter-clenching sensation as big-ass hole was drilled into bumper more than offset when wife came up to see what i was doing and exclaimed, "no way, cupholders?! cool!!"

big tip o' the hat to [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION]—genius mod. surprised Toyota hasn't yet poached this themselves like they did with the Satoshi grilles for the TRD Pro line.
