it's ok. I had my wife 90% convinced to buy a used 2011 Lexus ISF. But then when we test fitted the rear facing baby seat she said hell no!



Hence 4runner now.

This past Friday in between all of the holiday events I went exploring some of the "Tennessee Dirt Devil". It is basically a 200 mile series of old country roads in middle Tennessee that a Dual Sport rider put together. Mostly hard packed dirt roads with lots of creek crossings.

Funny, I have homelink but have never bothered to set it up, just carry the garage door opener with me...

Set that bad boy up!!! On my previous car I set up homelink and the range was way better than my clicker. Not sure how the 4runner's range is, but it's worth a shot...plus it cleans up your rig and gives a James bond vibe to your runner. That last bit is a stretch because James bonds buttons shot missiles and what not, ours just opens garage doors. Hahahah

Funny that this got brought up. Most houses have 2 garage doors. There are 3 buttons. Here is a puzzle and a project. Program 2 buttons for each door and third button to open both doors at the same time. It is possible because I've done it. GL

Regarding that light bar on the roof--not long ago I saw an idiot was driving on 85 with a similar lightbar on. Every now and then you see an off-road vehicle with 10 different kinds of headlights blinding everyone around.

Busy week trying to get things done.

I finished some of this up today. Most of this has been finished this week.

1. Dual Battery setup, National Luna.
Pretty basic setup.

2. 20 Led light bar

3. Grillcraft front grill I had to do this so the Light would sit back on the
bumper. The Toyota
symbol stuck out to far.


4. Bussmann PDM box.(150303) I thought of the Spod but wanted something smaller and as a bonus I get 5 extra fused wires. Seemed more versatile.

5. Switches installed inside. I finally found a use for the space under the door... Items would constantly fall out of there.

Finally finished installing Seat Heater Kit, just in time for the weather.

Took it in for the 15K service, AKA 1.5 hours of wasted time to rotate tires and "wash" the car. Thinking about just skipping my last Toyota Care-not-so-much service and start doing it myself again. Even if it is one more free oil change.

Not sure what happened. I was amazed that it was still drivable. The rear rim was shot to hell. How milk and bread became a priority after the accident has me stumped. lol Maybe they ran in for some depends.
