Plastidip the front bumper!

Did some arts and crafts today, plastidipping the front bumper! $700 was too expensive for that TRD Pro kit. Only downside is that I lost 1 screw during the process. Upside! I can touch it up when things ding up my bumper.

Actually, I like that. The 'stripe' carries right up from the grille wing - just like you planned it that way.

Can you re-apply the wrap over the old wrap ? Will think about doing it n black but think it's ok with the gray ? If we hadn't f-up was doing whole hood .

Peel off and do over, and do the whole hood in black. It will look as awesome as the others who have done it here.

Are you using a buffer or did you do it all by hand?

Lol, I'm assuming you clicked on a random page by mistake. I used the Meguiar's DA System which attaches to a drill and it worked ok. I don't foresee myself polishing the vehicle again. Just clay, iron-x, and wax. Not worth the extra effort to polish unless you need paint correction.

Longer than I had planned... taking the panels off and swapping the handles out was easy. Putting the door panels back on was challenging (at least for me, I haven't had much experience with panels with that many clips).

New head unit and back up camera.

I also finished the flex loom on my power wire under the hood.

Removed the rear bumper after about 30min of fighting and failing to get the plastic clips off to remove the silver trim piece. About half got tore off last outing and it was starting to "hang down" after driving so I planned to remove it to see about fixing it and then paint it black at the same time. Found out why its such a pain if you leave the bumper on (besides space to get to the clips) they have a center cut out that you have to be inline with to get the white clip to release.

P.S. I cleaned up the frame and it doesn't look as bad as I Thought it would with the rear bumper off (will be going back on shortly) but re confirms how awesome I think a "high & tight" aftermarket bumper will/would look.
