Had the Gobi rack installed

Is it just me or does your front spacing between the top and bottom bar seem higher then the standard? The sides look the same but the front seems to have more space then normal. Just the angle?

Was in the mountains and with average snow the wife and I decided to snowshoe. Pulled into the trailhead to find a couple girls (20ish) trying to put chains on the front of their stuck front wheel drive car (she pulled in a tad too far). She probably could have easily rocked it out but they were stupid and I walked over right as one of the chains spun off luckily not hitting someone. Got them to stop and grabbed my shovel to dig out enough so I could give her a push.

After finishing our hike met a guy at the trailhead admiring my truck, said he had 266k on his 97 Runner, it wasn't his daily driver anymore but he still uses it.

The wife told me I should order some maxtrax after watching them on that expedition overland show and running into those stuck girls. Great wife!

Plus my scangauge was at the front door when I got home! Whew what a day!

Went out to pick up my son from a sleep over and we played in the snow.

Got the console and center stack put back together Friday night. Had ripped things apart looking for a good spot to tap a switched 12 v. line for the rear view trailer camera monitor and whatever else down the road, as well as an unswitched line for various accessories in the future. Didn't find many good options, so will just use fuse tap adapters on the fuse block. Has any one else noticed the (apparently) very small gauge wiring in the 4Runner floating around in the dash and console? Maybe Toyota has discovered a cheap high-temp superconductor and/or ultra-efficient thin insulation material, but compared to the cars of my mis-spent youth, these wires look to be really small gauge.

Yesterday morning started off late with big ol' BK Whoppers for breakfast, then a nice 8 mile hike out on I-90 in North Bend: the Rattlesnake Mountain trail, a nice Squatchy (thanks NuclearN8) kind of place. The sun was out in Seattle, and we actually saw some of those elusive "shadow" things that we have heard stories about, and had a few good views across the I-90 corridor to Mt. Si and the Cascades. The Adventure Tractor had a good time off-roading up the mountain, and we finished up just as it was getting dark. Then a round of gut-bomb burritos at Tres Hermanos - we call it Tres Hermonski's just to be obnoxious - Mexican Restaurant in Redmond, where we discussed where we could go hiking on Sunday during the crotch-grabbing, butt slapping Stupor Bowl. That's the best thing about it - the way it empties out the hiking trails. Jeez - I haven't even posted this yet and I can already feel the heat from the flames! Go SeaSquaks!

I guess i will have to go check out this "Mexican Restaurant" out when i am in the redmond area. I only say "Mexican Restaurant" because im orginally from Texas and of Mexican heritage and only found like 2-3 places I like in the entire Seattle area.

I'm originally from California, and got spoiled by good Mexican food before moving up north. The waiters at Tres Hermanos are all very friendly and attentive - although they seem somewhat puzzled by my 45-year-old High School Spanish when I throw it at them. It's better than the usual chain restaurant fare, and we like to give our business to the small independent guys. We often go there for dinner after a day of hiking or snowshoeing. It's usually crowded and noisy, but that's part of the charm. They're just east of 405, up the hill from Kirkland a few traffic lights. Enjoy.

I woke up. Realized it wasn't a dream. Went downstairs and out the front door to the driveway. Opened the rear hatch and crawled in. I curled up and had a good cry and am still wondering.... WHY DIDNT WE GIVE IT TO MARSHAWN?!?!

Not exactly sure. Was on my way to work, saw the tpms light goes on, thinking nothing of it. One mile later, heard a loud tire road noise thinking it was the semi next to me until I smell the burn rubber. It was too dark to tell at 6am, all I saw was my missing sidewall. Its gonna take 2-3 days before America's Tires have it in stock for me to bring them in and take a look at it. Part of the wheel made contact with the road, I'm hoping my tpms is not damage.

Took some time on Saturday and plastidipped the chrome on the front bumper, much better!

Installed LED lighting in the interior, and a 6K HID kit in the stock projector housings. Just waiting on H16 LED fogs to come in the mail.
