Not as much as I would have thought. It made a clunk noise when the suspension fully extended, a creaking noise when switching forward to reverse, didn't make any noise at all on pavement. The wedge shaped part of the top of the shock was wedged into the bottom of the shock mount.

I thought the noise was just mud and crap in my coil springs, but when airing up, I noticed the top of the shock was crooked and had heard of these breaking in this way.

Hahaha. Good guess, but not quite. Deer ate my bumper about a month back. I have a 4x4 labs bumper being built now.

My Rocky Road Rack showed up yesterday. Now it's time to lay out the bike trays and create wheel mounts for the front tires.

Also going to plan ahead for forward facing LED light bar, two rear corner LED lights and a Passenger side Awning.

I'm open to any suggestions or comments for design.

I suppose that is the best possible type of catastrophic failure of an assembly, still drivable. Glad you saw it!

On topic: My light bar saved me from a deer (or vice versa) tonight while on a little drive after dinner in keystone. Funny that when I popped it on the wife said "Holy @&$*, is that new", been on the truck for two years at least... It was a good looking deer actually, the moose we spotted before dinner was bigger though.

Black Rocks section of Ruby-Horsethief! Has the rain finally slacked off? Looks like there is actually a riff there now. I never knew there was a road there, just thought there was a mtn. bike trail up there on the rim.

No, it was pre-ARB - it just was repaired back to stock. There's tons of deer where I live - I always shake my head at the people around here that put on an aftermarket bumper and don't get the full grille/headlight hoops on it.

Thanks, my truck is doing the same thing. I just haven't had a chance to get under it yet to figure out how bad the damage is.
It also creeks and pops in turns, I was thinking it was a hub, this is another spot to check.

Spent about 12 hours and 620 miles driving yesterday just to get out of the house for a weekend day. Went down to Grand Isle, La. Which is about as far south as you can drive in the state. I thought about calling [MENTION=103267]Saker[/MENTION] and [MENTION=55765]cjacob316[/MENTION], but I didn't think about it on the South leg and it was too late going back North. All in all a nice if long drive and we got some nice pics and a great seafood dinner near the Gulf. No trails or beach driving. Just a nice day trip and seeing the sights.

The "Boat in a field" is actually sitting an a canal, but I'm wondering if it wasn't washed up the canal by hurricane storm surge and stranded there because there obviously hasn't been any traffic on that part of the canal in a while. The rusting remains were probably the same thing. Storm surge into the shallows and just abandoned to rust away. The rigs with the 3 long posts around them are called Jackup rigs and are used to service existing wells IIRC. They are moved into place, the poles are set on the bottom, and the central rig is jacked up until it is 20-30' above the water. The fact that these are all "stacked up" is probably an indicator of how much Gulf drilling has been curtailed since the BP spill. I only saw one working offshore in the 20 or so miles of coast road we drove.

Thursday of this week but just got back to civilization to post up. Took the family camping in CO for the week. Got to wheel one day so I was able to knock Black Bear and Imogene passes off the bucket list. The views at the top of Black Bear are just incredible.
