Black Rocks section of Ruby-Horsethief! Has the rain finally slacked off? Looks like there is actually a riff there now. I never knew there was a road there, just thought there was a mtn. bike trail up there on the rim.

Yes, finally. There are a few trails that are still open to 4x4s, but they are not often used, well marked, or maintained.
This ones goes into the Canyon a mile or so upstream, if you're brave.

This was from a few weeks ago, after (I assume) lightning started a wildfire. The shelf road led down to an old abandoned ranch that burned.
Can't see so much in the picture, but the overhang had collapsed in several places along the road and the rest could come down if you looked at it wrong.

Lube, oil and filter today. Plus I reinstalled my OPOR sliders after getting them sandblasted and powder coated to fix my crap rattle can job that didn't stick at all. Had to sand blast as there was too much rust to tackle.

Oh and I installed an aFe Pro dry air filter. OoooooOOOOOooooo

I have to say, this is the first time I have ever had to lube a vehicle I own, all the various sports cars and sedans had sealed driveshafts ...

So while wheeling this past weekend I did quite a few fairly deep water crossings. Diff was definitely submerged multiple times. I haven't done the rear differential breather mod yet. Anybody have any ideas what symptoms to look for to see if I have water in my diff?

Replace the fluid as soon as possible. Don't wait for something to happen. It's not very expensive but well worth the investment.
