Had the Hamilton High School AFJROTC drill team wash my car this morning and then I finished it off with a couple coats of wax and some tire shine stuff... First wax that I've put on this since I bought it last year. Now I remember why... LOL! I'm going to Rain-X the windows and clean the interior tomorrow. I'm out of steam for today and there is beer to be drank and football to watch.

Tahoe for the weekend. Just finished the grueling Rubicon-McKinney trail. All of us using those extremely unsafe spacers.

Lots of little stuff: Had a
BMC done and a busted weld on my front skid plate fixed. Back to running no sway bars again (w00t!!). Ground out all the surface rust, reprinted, repainted, and reinstalled that skid plate. Dumped the Nestah edition antenna and installed a 2' FireStik on my roof rack (cabled through the vehicle interior). Rewired my Cobra 75 a la [MENTION=66483]hrod79[/MENTION] to setup a permanent plug in the center console for a totally hidden install.

Need to do some touch ups on the sliders next but I'll save that for a little later.

Got the Jesse HID hand me downs installed. Ordered the wrong clips for the splash shield so installed the few I had and zip tied a couple of spots until the correct ones arrive.

Speaking of, if anyone needs the larger clips for the grill (52161-02020), I have 100 of them :fish:

Also got the TRD integration skid installed. Some spacing issues that I am working with Josh on.

Contrary to what a couple folks seem to think about me, I'm a fairly laid back guy, not some short fused DB.

Driving up to the mountains this evening, late enough that there were hardly any cars. Going a couple over in the MIDDLE lane, leaving the fast lane for the folks in a hurry. SUV comes up on my rear and is all over me, I'm holding steady slightly above posted. Finally she passes me in her midsized luxury suv, not sure if passenger was male or female. Pulls in front of me and slows about 5-10 under the limit. Trying to cruise, I pass, they hit the gas and speed up. This goes on about 6-7 more times. I'm in no hurry and really just don't want to be bothered. The last time I just sped up to 8 over, just want to be away from whatever she is doing. She does it again and pulls in front of me, patience exhausted I give a flash of the LED bar.

She speeds off finally.

Come through the tunnel a bit later, see the flashing lights, and a cop pulling her out of the suv. I'm guessing sobriety check...

First ride was this morning. Carb needs help, can't WOT, but still pulls wheels up in 3 or 4 gears, so I guess it's doing alright.

I would love to buy decent 60+ lumens bulbs for 2 dollars or less, but no luck so far.

I bit the bullet, and installed interior LEDs. Map and visor bulbs were easy and cheap with JDM ASTAR 10pcs Super Bright 194 for 15 dollars at Amazon, ($1.5 a bulb). For dome bulb I used 3110-W10-CB from superbrightleds.com.

However for tailgate lights I went bananas :wow: I bought 9w Cree LED 31mm Canbus No Error bulbs (by SiriusLED) from Amazon. They were quite pricy (9 dollars a piece) for the poor light output (about 80 lumens) but I paid because they used 3 Samsung LEDs rated for 3W max each (SiriusLED bulb run them only at 0.17W each). I modified both bulbs by removing CANBUS resistors (no need for them in my 4Runner) an replaced current limiting resistor with IC 350mA constant current driver. Now I have bulbs that run a 3W each (1W per Samsung LED) with the output about 480 lumens. It is equivalent of 30W incandescent bulb. And there are two of them in the tailgate. It feels like someone is shining a headlights to my trunk when I open the tailgate :wow:

I also used JDM ASTAR bulbs for the license plate lights - I bought 10 of them, so why not . Now I need to find some bulbs I could modify to to 480 lumens into puddles lights.

Extended my already extended curt roof rack (yes just a curt rack for now)..and made a custom bracket to support the extended front.
And can someone please help me find a 2" and 1" spacer lift/level kit if that even exist While i wait for my funds to grow and buy bilstein lol.. a noob to 5th gen

Threw a ~1.5" spacer on the front. Took a buddy and I about 2.5 hours, and the KDSS sway bar was no problem at all.
