What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Slowly prepping for the NH Overland Challenge. Took out the rear seat bottoms and headrests for some extra space. Not yet sure how I'm going to configure our gear for two people and 5 straight days of wheeling and camping. Leave the seat back up with larger gear in the back and smaller stuff in front of it or leave the seat back down and just pile everything in is what I'll be figuring out when it comes to it.

Not yet sure how I'm going to configure our gear for two people and 5 straight days of wheeling and camping.

My fiance and I spent three weeks camping and climbing our way across the country this summer with most of our earthly possessions (not counting furniture), food, and climbing gear in my 4Runner. We put the seats flat, though I didn't think about removing anything - probably because we were moving from Georgia to Idaho, and it wouldn't make sense to leave seats behind. We brought enough food with us that we only reprovisioned fruit and fresh veggies along the way. We stayed in a hotel one night.

My point: I don't understand why you need so much space. My advice would be keep the seats up in their normal position. Place your food and clothing in the back seats, unless you're using one if those fancy fridges. Put your camping gear, recovery gear, tools, and whatever else you need in the trunk space. For five days, there should be more than enough space for all your n needs. If not, consider repacking lighter.

P.S. the biggest tip I can offer is don't stress about it - planning and packing for a trip should be fun!

When I take my seat bottoms out for camping I find; cheese curls, melted candy, My Little Ponies, McDonald Happy Meal toys, booger tissues, water bottle lids, Barbie doll clothes, 56 million pony-tail stretchy thingys, and don't forget melted crayons. Always melted crayons.

Got shipping confirmation for UCAs and Coils... Grill was on backorder so I canceled that crap and because [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] called me BroNabit I decided to skip that shit and ordered a can of anthracite plastidip for all the chrome instead:guitar2:

Got my nerf bars today. Two things are still on my goodies list, Baja Cage and farther down the road maybe the Icon Stage 2 system. Today my 4runner is the soccer crawler.

Finally reinstalled rear 4runner emblem after driving without it for a few days. I wish I caught these thieves that decided to take off my blacked out plasti dp'd 4runner emblem. Maybe they figured it was really custom! SMH! So I went ahead and ordered a new one from Amazon. Only difference is that this one came painted silver and not chrome. I really like it so left it as is. Once installed I detailed my truck.

The Rims are 17inch by 9 with a 1" offset. Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 Pro-4 Matte Black Rims

The tires are the Terra Grapplers G2 285/70/r17

Picking up my 4R from one shop today, where it has the icon vehicle dynamics trailing arms, timbren bump stops, and OME springs installed in prep for the CBI rear bumper going on tomorrow. Then I can put a jerry can, move my hi jack to the bumper, and throw the full size spare on.

I'll document the install of the bumper if anyone is interested.

Those are sweet rims. What size tire are you putting on them?

Picked up a few items from the stealership recently.
1) Sun shade - surprisingly cheaper than Amazon.com
2) Rear cargo cover
3) OEM all weather cargo tray cover
4) OEM bug deflector

I'm having trouble with installing the bug deflector, the provide philips screws that youre suppose to tighten the deflector to the bracket...I can't get it tight enough because of the angle. I've tried bending the deflector back but i can bend it enough to have a screw driver perfectly straight over the screw. I'm thinking of going to lowes/HD to buy hex/allen screws instead unless someone can tell me how to do it.

Hey Paul, I'm going to be putting some 285/70 BFG KO2's on them. Lift will be 3", still trying to decide which. Lot's of options I've found here on this forum. lol

Nice fit, I too am curious about the driver side. Does it completely cover the dead pedal? That is about the only thing I dislike about my weathertechs, it only goes halfway up, kinda defeats the purpose.
