That's what she said! Lol anyway 5 very light coats is the key. Hold the nozzle about 10" away

Amazing the finesse involved in spray painting anything. I used hammered metal rustoleum on my entire skid setup. Never got the hammered effect. Distance, humidity, wind, mood, layers, sun sign, it all matters.

That hammer spray paint requires a different technique!

You need to spray heavier coats much closer than normal spray paint to get the pattern. I'm talking close, like 2" away. It's very hard to get it to run, but it's possible!

Next time buy a pint and roll it on, it's much easier, dries faster and doesn't make a mess. The hammered finish hides any roller/bush marks.

Ugh, aftermarket control arm maintenance and broken parts (front or rear) make me sad. Seems so common. Sucks because I'd love to lift my 4R 2.5" - 3" but don't want to deal with having UCAs be a maintenance item (wtf?).

Went camping in Big Bear then hit the trails

We visited Big Pine Flats and had the entire place to ourselves.





The kids broke out the LEDs and the camera and started light painting. Some of them came out really cool!









The next day I checked out 3N14 and drove to Little Pine Flat. So beautiful!

plasti'd up the front badge and added some yella lenses. it should come together much better once the rest of the grill is dip'd how I'm planning. Can you choose texture on line-x yet? Some grit could possibly be ok but I haven't seen much done with it yet on a 4Runner besides on rockers. Still new to the forum so I'm sure as I explore I'll spot it. I'll also be looking into the lift/warranty issue as my local dealership said they'll only do the trd bilsteins with springs for $1699. not installed. What is everyone else doing, blowing their warranties? also looking for a good recommendation on a lift that isn't large and levels the truck out. Not a fan of the dipping nose

Sitting at Yota getting the 10k oil/tire service and finally replacing the broken wheel stud! She ain't a Virgin no mo!

I installed a set of flush mount vent shades and Weathertech mats. I had the OE rubber mats, but I still found ways to get mud absolutely everywhere, so the upgrade was a true necessity.
