Southern Maryland Road Trip
Drove from Raleigh to LaPlata Maryland for Crabs Friday and drove back Saturday morning. This is at the 301 Bridge just into Virginia.

Removed Limited rocker panels
Wash and wax every two weeks, but this time:
-Griots Garage BOSS Perfecting Cream on Lake County green Polishing pad
-Klasse high Gloss Sealant Glaze
-Einszett Gummi Pflege on door and window gaskets and plastic trim
-TUF SHINE Tire Clearcoat
Silver still looks meh

Finally got around to blacking out the badging! Happy with the results, hopefully it holds up for a while. Gotta give my dealership here in Vegas a shout this week to see what a lift would do to my warranty. Thanks to everyone who's posted about that on here already, you've stopped me from rushing headlong into the project and saved me from myself!

I think it works just as great on plastic. I used to use Wurth Rubber Care and at glance they seemed to be about the same, so I went for it. I'd rather not use the pressurized can like Wurth has anyways. Like any dressing it leaves a goo behind that attracts dirt. I just let it marinate because after the next wash everything is good. I'm in the Texas sun and after a couple weeks it still felt and looked great, probably better than Wurth which seems to evaporate before you're done working.

I hear ya. Waxing is good for protection in the short term, then to make upkeep easier, then finally to prevent oxidation. I've used all kinds of waxes, polishes, sealents.
But with an easy wax, I can apply and remove on the 4Runner in 15 minutes, hardly a big deal after washing. It doesn't look much different if I skip it one time. But bugs and dirt don't stick, brush slides with less scratches, etc. It's like oiling a pan or using antiseize on a bolt. Worth a little extra effort. Right now my goto wax is meguiars gold carnauba. It is not durable like a sealant, but really easy, looks good, and feels slick.
