Ran errands trying to find things in my new town. Saw a nice looking modded 3rd gen at Home Depot. Dropped by nearest Discount Tire to have them plug a nail in the lawnmower tire and ended up ordering a set of 275 KO2's. They made me a good deal on them, $205/tire less 10% Federal employee discount, and a $100 visa card. Worked out to about $160/tire before road hazard, tax, etcetera, and there was no charge for the lawnmower tire! :wow: The only drawback is that they were special order, so I have to wait a couple days to get them on. Pics to come!

Finally took my boy home !!! after 11weeks away at the paint shop... getting painted Lexus LFA Matte Black ( 9K4 paint code )
How do you care for that paint? Wash, wax etc? Same as regular paint or??

No wax...
Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer and Meticulous Matte Auto Wash.
Forces me to wash this car by myself now ... no more car washes.
I picked the color because unlike regular paint ... Matte does not reflect light. It dissipates light which makes pin stripping/ scratches less noticable...

Need a beige 2014-2015 headrest
My adventure today in my 2015 4Runner was to discover that my wife had put the new carseat in the backseat in such a way that it destroyed my passenger seat headrest. Yeah, I was thrilled.
SO, Now I need a new front passenger seat headrest in beige softouch for a 2015 SR5P. If anyone can sell me one, please PM me. Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't know... I got unlucky at work and had gotten my barely 7 month old 4Runner rained on by some harsh chemicals ( caustic & amonnia). So the all of the exterior original factory paint had to be sanded down to bare metal. And then sprayed.
So just in paint materials & labor to paint the car... The bill for my companies insurance was 10k.
If your just doing a repaint I go out and venture 4k to 6k

Agreed ... it's expensive. I have a 2006 sienna that the clear coat is peeling. I'm thinking of plastidipping in cement or battle ship grey. Rather than paying 4k to repaint.

Ran the shop vac over everything and reorganized the cluster of useful items into a bag so they would stop scattering about the cargo area.
Small tool set, several tarps, rope, towels, gas can, & med kit all in the blue bag. Ratchet straps, recovery straps, chain and gloves in green backpack. Jumper cables and tire pump in the open cubby. Towing hitch with ball managed to fit in with the jack and Toyota tools cubby on the other side.

now that is badass! ...almost 3 month wait?? that is crazy.... you've got the cleanest looking 4runner on the forum.. somehow kept most of the stock look too!
