What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Took a weekend drive from CT to NH with a ride up mount Washington. Hit 1500 miles halfway up but couldn't snap a photo, my wife would have killed me. No shortage of people cooking their brakes on the way down. Tomorrow is a clean and detail...have to get the 1000 bugs off the windshield.

Are you back to running just Icon Stage 7 now or do you still have the two inch lift on? I love the height and I'm finally installing my Stage 7 tomorrow. New paint looks great by the way!

Where about is CT you from? I'm down in Old Saybrook. How long of a drive was it to MT Washington? I just picked up a Limited and want to put some better lights on it. What do you recommend?:rockon:

I've been monitoring my air intake temp using the Scanguage II since before I installed a Shrockworks front bumper, winch, license plate and lights up front. The intake air temp has remained pretty much exactly the same as before and I'm not seeing any cooling issues. It's typically 4-7 degrees warmer than the outside air temp when you're cruising at 55+ mph.

I only have a Shrockworks bumper (no winch/lights yet) and I didn't have any issues with cooling. Mind you I live in Houston, and the summer afternoon rush hour traffic once got my old 370z (stock) into limp mode (it gets that hot).

Good question, but my first question is this: Where in California does it average 100+F for outside air temp? I live in Houston, and in the summers we average ~102+F, but with regard to the bar being that close to the pavement the temp may be more like 110+F or so. Don't even get me started on the humidity! Heck, yesterday was a couple days into "fall," and our high was 84F, but "real feel" was 96F. Crazy weather...

I digress - Everyone I know who has put any sort of light under the hood/in front of the radiator has not had any issue. Given the fact that the airflow while driving is still plenty powerful to circulate through and around the radiator, you shouldn't have a problem either. Regarding temps behind the headlight, I don't doubt that reading at all. However, right behind the headlight is an area which is blocked in by the air dams and side paneling. Directly behind the light bar is wide open, and the grille being in front of the light bar allows plenty of air through.
 
I hit 5000 miles and went and got my tires rotated. Oh wait, I meant my 5000 mile "service". Lol.

The picture was taken with stage 7 + 2" Body Lift...

I just dropped off the 4runner today to have the body lift taken off. So I'll be back to just having the stage 7 lift...

You'll be happy with your stage 7. I'm amaze at how comfy this suspension is...

I have my setup to 6 clicks in the front and 5 clicks in the back. I had 5 clicks all around and it was too cushy. You hardly feel the dips on the road.

Thanks for the info! I dig the new paint job, bummer on why you had to get it but great outcome. When I complete the lift/tires and wheels I'll post the pictures. It was a toss up for me between Black and Red and I went red, if I I trash this paint too bad I'm thinking about a matte red wrap. Thanks again for the info!
