Yeah wow! that stinks. Looks like they just powder coated without cleaning it first. Bummer. I think LineX that would be expensive simply because of the over-spray waste.

Yikes! I wouldn't expect rust that bad in only 2 years. Have you called Baja Rack to see what they say about it?

Found my first paint chip. About 2-3 square millimeters. Ordered touch up base coat, flakes, and clear coat just now. Spoke with someone for clear bra installation also.

I replaced my windshield today...
And just as i put it on the woman to whom i am related by marraige ... since the window was cracked on her watch...i must now recant...
when the installer pulled the trim away, he found the source of the crack, an obvious rock hit on the lowest segment of the windshield on the passenger side. it was even lower than the wiper mounts....
so now the Tonka is truely new again...and ready for our road trip in 2 weeks up to Ct.

Seriously, you have to contact Baja Rack. There is no way, under normal conditions, that a rack starts rusting out like that so fast unless it was compromised from day-1.
That sucks! If you're looking for a new rack Trail Duty has a pretty good sale right now that ends Monday, I believe: Gobi rack of choice, free shipping, free wind faring, and free accessory for $1595.

Limited Lifetime Warranty for original owner. That looks terrible, and unacceptable for the amount they cost and for what purpose they are supposed to serve.
