Got my interior cleaned up nicely today... FINALLY!

Kind of cleaned my interior up today as well, but it needs much more time and more products than I have available at work today.
I noticed my headliner today. What a friggin mess! It's awful. Black crap everywhere. I'm not a smoker but it looks like smoke. Gonna have to shampoo the whole freaking thing. Ugh.
Anyway. Looks great man!

This is a Trail, not the TEPremium, so I actually had cloth on the seats before. But I got tired of it and wanted leather so I got Katzkin leather seats with custom red contrast stitching and the TRD logos stitched in and had a nearby leather guy install it all for me!

Technically it was yesterday but I went for a drive.

Chased down some escaped Dalmatians, ended up needing 4wd to get back up a small incline onto the road from a dew covered field. Got spotted by a red 5th gen driving by while in the field calling to find the dog.
Also drove the 4Runner onto a military base for the first time. Saw a sharp looking lifted 4th gen hanging out near the approach lights at Wright-Patterson on the way to the base.

Ripped down to Ouray on Engineer Pass from Lake City, I highly recommend this trip to everyone. Best drive I've done in Colorado, only complaint is that it took me 10 years living here to make it that way...forgive the sideways picture, I'm tired and lazy right now

Did some Christmas shopping...

We always give smoked Salmon at Christmas so I did a little Christmas shopping today. Hooked up the drift boat at 4:00AM and headed to the coast. Nice day on the water and those folks on the "nice list" will be happy...

Today my 4Runner started morphing into a Panda. I had the roof and the center of the front bumper wrapped in vinyl. I also painted the roof rack black, and plersti derped my rear emblems. I wish I could just take them off, stupid divits behind the emblems.

Where's the Fujiwara Tofu stickers on the side?

Dropped off the 4Runner today at my local shop for the following:

-Install/mount, and wire, ARB air-compressor
-Install/mount, and wire, Rigid Dually lights in the bumper
-Install differential breather
-We're painting under the body, between CBI bumper and the plastic bumper, so that it's a little less obvious if you peak between armored bumper and plastic bumper.

And the big one is we're going to try to relocate the rear backup camera to the swing arm.

Looked over my Bajarack. It pisses me off just to look at! Granted I do a lot of stuff with it, but what the hell!!!

I will never buy something from Bajarack again!

That's a shame. I bought a utility rack from them last year. Good fit, sturdy, works well. I ground off the lower mounting tabs on the front for the wind deflector, and found rust forming in and under the welds.
I live in AZ, rust really shouldn't be an issue here. Does seem that something is amiss with their prep work.
I still love the rack, though. I would not get it powder coated if I were to do it again though. Things that bolt together should not get PC. Once it scratches, chips or breaks off, there's no option to repair outside of stripping down the entire piece and re coating.
I still love it, though, and given that it is a utility rack, I just give it a quick sanding if need be and once over with rust oleum black primer to seal it. Not quite the same glossy finish as the PC, and won't fill in a deep hole from PC being removed (I had a high lift lean over and scratch my ladder. Clean to the metal), but it's a utility rack. And I love it.
When I moved our whole house with my 4runner and a small flatbed trailer, my wife decided she likes the roof rack too. 9' of cargo space on top! :win
