It was a couple weeks ago... but installed my Rocknob shift knobs.

Spent a few hours sound deadening the 4Runner.

the only question I have, does sealing up the doors cause any issue now with closing?

i am speculating there is a reason the doors have some ability to breath to reduce back pressure on closing????

or does the flap door(s) in the back rear quarter panel have enough effect to compensate for this?

Newest addition to the family:

We were going back and forth between, the new volvo, the LC and QX60 and for the money I paid for this car, this was the best deal.

It's a VERY fun car to drive. Their info-tainment system is VERY outdated, but my wife doesn't care about that and it's her daily.

We loved it.

2 problems though:

1. The dealers will NOT budge on the price.
2. They have already had an airbag recall.

XC90 (2003-2014)

MSRP on the XC90 and the QX60 that we got was the same.
I talked the dealer down more than 10k off the QX60, I gotta tell you man, the QX60 is much more fun to drive :biggrin1:

Did some post camping/wheeling maintenance!


1-Pounded my skids back into shape.

2-Changed diff/transfer fluids.

3-Did the rear diff breather mod. I routed the cable up to the taillight area- no holes to drill (Details in my thread).

My SR5 after two months of ownership it finally lost its off-roading virginity. I took it out to a spot in Lincoln CA referred to me by [MENTION=124049]keyser_soze[/MENTION]. We are planning on meeting out there sometime soon I but I could wait to go check it out.

I put the a-trac to good use. It is a noisy little system when it is at work. I could not believe some of the steep slops the r4unner could tackle. A couple times I thought I may be risking flipping backwards. Can't wait to go again. The pics are not the greatest. my cell phone sucks at taking them.

The hill in the last two pics took me about 5 tries to get up it. The ground was all rock and soft uncompacted dirt so the tires would end up digging holes as soon as the 4runner slowed. More speed was the answer.

Commuted 68mi each way to work. Got home and ordered a set of BudBuilt Bumpout Sliders w/Full Tread. Last big thing I get to do to my truck this year. Well at least until I get stuck temporarily delayed and find out that I "need" a winch, which will also likely entail the SSS Slimline Bumper.

They close just as easily as ever, they just sound much more solid when they close.

Oh my God lol. As I first looked and began scrolling, I was thinking "Did this guy really take off his front bumper to go wheeling?" LOL. A deer ran into my rear passenger door last year. It got you good.

Haha. Ya no. I'd definitely never take off a bumper to go wheel lol.
This is the third vehicle in a row to take damage from wildlife.
My 4x4 labs bumper with rigid lights should be here any day now.....

Washed off the mud from Overland Expo East, a little dirt from the Cove, and a thick coat of bug guts from the drive back to CO from the east coast.

Sigh, always so sad to clean the mud from a great trip off... :washing:
